A Joint Project for Sooraj and Sandhya

I think there is a clever way for the writers to move forward the bonding between the lead pair and make Babhoo happy. If I am the writer, I'd do the following for a month or two: Because Sooraj won the WTC award, he gets an offer from a top publisher in India to publish a cooking book with recipes. Sooraj doesn't know English so he writes it in Hindi and Sandhya translates it into English for him. They spend time together each night working on this project and become close and closer. The book hits the stands, becomes popular, media interviews follow and mom is super happy for her son and appreciates what Sandhya has done for Sooraj, yet another time. Cools off and lets her finish her 3rd year of studies to get her bachelors degree. Sandhya does this willingly and lovingly as it involves books and writing. What do you all think?

But many ppl may not like it and feel that it is deviating from the original story and the show will loose its charm but if this plot is integrated in such a way that Sandhya's education runs parallel to them working on a project then I think more ppl would accept it.

But then it would seem unrealistic of Sandhya doing housework, studying and working with Sooraj on a project. But then this is a fiction show so when they have the licence to show illogical things they have licence to show unrealistic as well.

The idea is to move the IPS track slowly and use this as a track before 3rd year of college begins. The school year seems to be not in sync with story coz Chavi just took her exams, right? I live in the US. So I don't know exactly the school year and summer break. The book story track can happen prior to the start of 3rd year of college I guess.

Very nice idea.I would love to see it enacted . Being a self confessed die hard romantic, I am all for increase in SurYa moments. However as Juna said I very much doubt whether they will deviate from the main IPS track. This is basically Sandhya's story .WTC was only introduced to increase Suraj's self esteem ,so that he does not get a complex when Sandhya passes IPS. Beyond that I do not think they will stretch the Suraj track. I think Chavvi is a commerce student from the papers she was studying. The compartment or supplementary exams can be given when you are in 3rd year. Before you pass your 3rd year you should have passed all the prescribed papers.Sandhya will have to start the graduation track soon. So book translation at this juncture cannot be taken up

your idea is very interesting. but it can't just always be doing something for suraj all the time just to make his mom happy. i mean, from all the hardwork that sandhya has done as the daughter in law for giving up her dream, she should still have a chance of fulfilling her dream without having to do anything else. hasn't doing the daughter in law dutie enough as it is?

of course on the other side, suraj must be equivalent to sandhy as well but he already has his dream filled by the help of sandhya, regardless if its to make his mother happy or not.
i believe that she choose to support suraj on that food competition because she herself even understands dreams. i don't believe she did it just to make his mom happy. now its suraj turn to support sandhya regardless if it does or does not make his mom happy.

I agree but I feel that IPS track is being rushed to give us shocking/dramatic episodes with a lot of emotions mixed in. I am afraid Bhaboo will get obnoxiously loud and the show will become too much to bear. I too watch the show for those good scenes between Sooraj and Sandhya. So I kind of don't want the mom-in-law dominate the show.

@UMDU I just recently finished watching all the episodes from Feb. to present on youtube. I don't have Indian cable but watched one episode at a friend's place on raksha bandhan day and got curious. Now I am so addicted that I am online every night watching. Haven't yet watched the last Fall episodes. Drama is good but her loudness in unrealistic in my view. The way she yelled at Ankur over the phone or her big big words even over little indiscretions are over the top. Friction/drama in joint families is common. But I am just afraid that she will rob us all from the sweet nothings of Sooraj and Sandhya with this IPS track.
