Not many of today's television shows get the opportunity of hitting the biggest milestone possible of completing 1000 episodes. And today (12 October 2012) happens to be a big day for producer Rajan Shahi and Director's Kut as they celebrate the happy occasion of their long-running show on Star Plus, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai completing 1000 episodes. We already mentioned about the commendable feat yesterday and now'we bring in some more info.
This achievement really calls for a big party, right? So how is the day going to pan out for all the actors, technicians, creatives involved with Yeh Rishta? A reliable source from the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai tells us that the day will be regarded and celebrated as one of the biggest festivals by the whole unit of the show. It's like the Christmas eve and Diwali being celebrated on one day. Director's Kut has planned a series of celebrations all throughout the day, and the celebrations are in full swing even as we write this article. Early in the morning, the whole unit of Yeh Rishta.. starting from the actors, to the creative team to the technicians performed hawan on the sets. While the actors performed aarti, the ladies in the show sang Ganpati bhajans, thus starting the day seeking the blessings of the Almighty. The temple in the set has a festive look with Aarti being performed specially.
Amidst the festive atmosphere, the show has to go on!! Keeping the airing schedule in mind, the actors and the unit will disperse after the hawan for their shoot and gather again at 6 PM in the evening. We hear that the biggest celebration of the day will come in the way of Director's Kut's memento distribution event wherein specially designed silver coins with the logo of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.. embossed on it being distributed to all the workers of the unit. In addition to this, nearly 50 workers who have been with the team from Day one of Yeh Rishta.. till date, will be gifted the latest DVD players. The felicitation function will be well attended by all the Federation Heads, we hear. Also the who's who of television industry will grace the award function to congratulate the entire team. We also hear that we (the media) will also be rewarded on the day.
And the proceedings will continue as Director's Kut will unveil the specially designed Audio Visual that has been recorded wherein everyone from the channel heads to the directors, office staffs, technicians, actors have recorded their special messages to their own team and Yeh Rishta family. This will be followed by a big cake cutting ceremony wherein champagne and a toast will be raised to celebrate the hard work and effort put in by the entire team. After this, the main party will start at the special area in the Yeh Rishta set which has been modified into a discotheque. As the party goes on, the entire team will watch tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta together. And the party and dance will go on till the wee hours of the next day.
So this is about the manner in which the day will be celebrated. So what about the invitees? Well, we hear that Rajan Shahi has made sure that the actors and unit members of all of Director's Kut shows (Bidaai, Swarg, Chand Chupa Badal Mein, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Amrit Manthan) will also grace the occasion. Leading actors from the industry and people closely associated with the production house have been invited.
The guest list that we managed to get looks like this ' Producers Saurabh Tewary, Sunjoy Wadhwa, Asit Modi, Rashmi Sharma, J D Majethia, Pintoo Guha and many others will come in to congratulate the Yeh Rishta team. Vikas Kalantri, Mohit Sehgal, Sanaya Irani, Mona Vasu, Atul Agnihotri and Shilpa Agnihotri, Jay Soni, Ragini Khanna, Shaleen Bhanot, Daljit Kaur Bhanot, Raqesh Vashist with wife Ridhi Dogra, Mrunal Jain, Sachin Khedekar, Rajan Shahi's Guru Ravi Rai, Lekh Tandon, Alok Nath, Rita Bhaduri, and many more are likely to be present.
