Part 1.

"Doctor how is she now? Can I meet her?" Jai asked hoarsely. He was worn out from staying awake all night.
"Mr. Walia she's out of danger but you can't meet her as yet. I have given her an injection to sleep, when she's awake you'll meet her."
"Does she know? Have you told her anything?"
"A mother becomes attached to her child from the first day of pregnancy. There was no need to tell her, she already knew."
"Thank You Doctor."
The tears which Jai had kept in check up to this moment came freely now. He didn't want to break down in front of the family members. He wanted to assure them everything as going to be fine.
😭 😭 😭 "No, I can't break down now. I have to be strong, at least for Bani's sake," he chided himself.
It all happened so fast. He still couldn't believe it. He was right there when it all happened and cursed himself repeatedly for hesitating. He blamed himself for their loss. If only he had been able to steady her she would not be suffering, she would not be laying there so lifeless, in so much pain...pain which he had, once again, caused.
"Mr. Walia, there's something else you need to know."
"Yes Doctor, what is it?" he asked, suddenly he felt his heart beat quickening.
"When Mrs. Walia fell from the stairs she hit her head and...well what I'm trying to say is that she's suffering from Amnesia."
"What???!" 😲
He closed his eyes and everything came rushing back to him like a nightmare. He was standing a few feet from the stairs and she came running to catch him before he left for work.
"Be careful Bani! Don't run or you may..."
And indeed she did slip! He also remembered how he had just stood there too shocked to react...and when he did she was already at the bottom of the stairs. If only he hadn't hesitated! 😡
Well there it was...what do u think?? Btw sorry that this part was so sad, but i promise it will get better! Plzz tell me if u see any mistakes or anything inappropriate and I will surely correct it and plzz do leave your comments. Thanx for reading in advance! 😃
