JTHJ's Challa is copied from an English Song

AR Rahman's Challa song might be creating waves on the internet, but it has emerged that the song is not exactly err.. original. It is in fact inspired by Eagle-Eye Cherry's number Save Tonight from his album Desireless. The opening notes of Challa, where SRK is strumming the guitar, isuncanningly similar to Save Tonight's music.

Challa is sung by Rabbi Sheirgill.

"Challa will be out on the Oct 1 (Monday). Looking forward to it, haven't seen it since we finished shooting it," SRK, 46, had tweeted earlier.

Directed by Yash Chopra, the film will SRK playing the role of an army officer named Samar. The movie also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan is set to release on November 13.

The guitar bit in the beginning of both songs do sound quite similar, but it's not the same. There are differences in the notes.

AR Rahman is not as bad as Pritam or even Himesh.

But then that's the whole point. The two pieces are so damn similar that the latter could pass as a copy of the former. If it's A R Rahman's composition (which I was unaware of until now), it's quite shameful. Is he on the verge of decline?

I didn't write the article so stop claiming we are just letting down the movie coz I am a fan of some other star. Infact that news was all over every channel to newspapers and even radios in New Zealand.
