when Aishwarya rai bachchan was cast in heroine , the entire showbiz was very excited to see aishwarya in that role as people perceived only she could pull the performance with conviction cause many instances of her life like the salman-ash controversy was supposed to find out its way through her performance in the movie
The moment it was announced she was pregnant since 1or 2months , she was dropped from the film as madhur felt he will not be able to complete the film before her baby bump comes out. while aishwarya was sure that these days a film can be over within 2-3 months of regular shooting spree. But when Madhur refused to shoot further. The industry remained awestruck about what is happening, Some other producers putting clauses that untill the post prduction of shooting is over , heroine of any film cant conceive .No preganancy clause. These irked many women organisations.
So Heroine was made with kareena Kapoor.Not just the critics thrashed the movie calling it the same old wine in new bottle, but the public swayed to BARFII even in its second and third week crashing the collections of HEROINE. Although heroine has recovered a lot but this time madhur doesnt has critical acclaim.
Aishwarya must be thinking , what god does, is always for the good and better things only.
Who knows with aishwarya in the lead the film would have been a diffrent product because the kareena version was diffrent from what aishwarya rai bachhan had signed earlier.
While kareena must be feeling the film has been cursed by the industry wallahs and well wishers of bachhans.
Well it seems it will take time to mend the gap between the bachhans and the UTV Motion pictures. And what will Madhur bhandarkar do after taking digs at big stars and celebrities in his film heroine. He is bound be an outcast in the given scenario.
