@ Tanu di : please dont tell me that shakespeare play was twelfth night😕😆

Coming to funny stories, i have one to share too😆

Once there was this certain teacher who gave us this longggg borrringg and really difficult novel for us to read over the vacations....I went to India in my holidays and needless to say never bothered reading the book. When i came back i just read a summary of the net ( I was like its just a measly quiz, whats the wrost thing which can happen? To my shock, i aced the test....as if i wasnt feeling guilty enough...my teacher read my answers out loud and said😕😆

"ahh...i wish all the kids were like u , out of the whole class, i can tell that you're the only one who had read the book😛😆, unlike most of us who have memorised the summary of the net"

That was the first and last time i didnt read a book assigned to me😳😳

No, it wasn't Twelfth Night, Eishu 😆

Wow, you're lucky! 😃

teachers are smart enough to know that these things are available, in my experience teachers make tests for which you really need to read the book. i say read the book AND use the internet to understand the book better.

😆 😆 Your lucky Eishu.

Actually, I've used those thing, just for casual reading of the novel once i finished readig the novel. Its good to just read them for extra reading and maybe getting another point of view but useless if u were to rely on them completely!

I remember in 7th grade, we did Animal Farm. And i didn't understand certain parts of it (dur to the relation with Karl Marx theory i didn know then) and i went to read those notes. while they helped me understand the book a bit better, they got my whole class in alot of problem. We all had the same and perfect analysis for one of their characters! 😳 😳 😳

lolz...wow this is MY type-a-topic 😆 😆

i live on these sites 😆

all throughout middle school i dont think i ever read the assigned books for english class😳...and i aced all the exams and essays...cuz im smart 😉

but wen i got 2 HS it was different...i thot of reading the book...but they r sooo boring...so now i alternate😆

when the new semester starts i actually read the book and do all the assignments...then i get an idea of the teacher and his/her assignment/test question type...if its a strict or hard teacher i try reading most of the book...if its an easier teacher....sparknotes (and other similar sites) it is 😆 😆

im not much of a reading fan...well atleast not the type of books assigned in english class...so i never want to read....but sometimes to my surprise the book turns out to be good...like a tale of two cities...we read that in english class a year or 2 ago...i thot ...aggh dickens...gonna be a boring classic...and i spark notes it for the first few chapters...thn i started reading it and i really liked tht book 😳

i know these sites dont allow us 2 get the "full experience" of the book and using them for assignments without reading the text is wrong...but i do it anyways 😳

I have used those sites, only when I've missed out on something or don't get a particular part of the book...otherwise I always read the whole book even though the core books in high school are the most boring books everrr!😆

I've used sparknotes a few times for some middle school english assignments... 😛 I think it helped me too cause I really didn't understand the book. But sparknotes helped me and I did well on tests. 😃 So I think its okay 😊
