Today was yet another ritual, yes the mehend ceremony. The girls around the house were running here and there with mehendi designs, but the strict instructions were that first the would-be- bride and the groom's hands will be started then only other's can get a chance. The women crew that came for the designing was quite big, they were 28 designers' with 4 main ones to do the hands and legs of the to-be-couple. 14 went to the Haveli where Khurana's were living while 14 were at Handa's.

Everyone was looking up in the file that contained the design's for the bride, but Geet was not a easy one to be convinced, instead of studying the file she restlessly looked around

G: where are you?

M: coming

G: ok you be late I am finalizing this design ( she pointed to a random design)

M (almost laughed): atleast look at it before pointing

She looked at it, it was so yucks, she gave a frustrated smile

M: ok where shall I give you

G: IDK

M: Geet why don't you come there where we met yesterday

G: no way, all girls are keeping an eye on that place

M: so how will I meet you?

G: that is your problem, I told you to give it to me last night but

M: it was not ready by then, jaanu please

G: maanu you are late

Rajji had been knocking the door worried as it has been 15 mins since Geet went in, Maan sighed and pecked her cheeks and opened the door.

Rajji was shocked to see him there and her gaze travelled to her Di who was blushing hard and also had few papers in her hand.

M: so confused, or I should say shocked

Rajji was speechless and if it was less Maan winked at her and left the flabbergasted soul behind, Geet was double laughing her head out.

It was too much for Rajji and she planned revenge, she behaved normal and did not say anything to anyone, but her mind was working in double shift. She decided to dutifully carry on her saali sahiba duties.

By the time the designers finished in was late evening, after the main designers finished applying Geet's hands and legs with designs Maan has given, Rajji requested them to stay behind

R: hey why don't you stay back for tonight

D1: why?

D2: we have finished our work

R: not actually finished

D1: how

R: I have some idea but I will tell you after dinner, please keep some cones as you will need to apply more designs

D2: we only apply mehendi on bride,

R: yes I know

D1: then

R: its for the bride only (winked)

D1: ok

D2: something fishy

R: not fishy but a surprise for my jiju

The designers laughed sensing the mischief

At night, in Geet-Rajji room

G: Rajji why are the designers still here

R: few designs are still left Di

D1: yes we have not written the groom's name yet

G: ok then write

R: no, wait

Poor Geet, she prayed to her Babaji and closed her eyes, she was really tired and soon drifted to deep sleep.

There Maan who was waiting to know what his saali was planning was left to wonder as Geet being asleep he would not know what was happening there, he only felt what she felt and at present she was sleeping quite comfortably.

And here the designers went to work as per Rajji's instructions and applied a beautiful design on Geet's back and waist with mehendi, in such a way that the whole design would be well hidden behind her clothes only to be seen by Maan.
