but i just wanted to write a couple of thingsš
okay so i went to the sonu nigam concert in washington d.c. last night and it was AMAAAAZING!!!!šš it was prolly the best concert i've ever been too and was even better then his concert when he came on the u.s. tour in 2001.š
i'm realllly mad though b/c the dar constitutional hall, where the concert was held, would not let anyone bring in their cameras š”š”š”...u had to either leave ur camera in the car, throw away the battery, or dispose of it in some way and they searched ur bag/purse completely š”
but anyways..the concert was a blast!! Sonu looked very cute even in his big curly hair and was extremely enthusiastic and got the audience enthusiastic as well! he wore slightly different outfits š³ but looked really cute
the best part of the concert was the interaction that Sonu had with the audience..he really drew everyone in with (obviously his singing) and then his funny comments and dancing ..etc. he was extremely respectful of the audience and had the cutest looks whenever he waved, kissed, looked at a certain part of the audience. at one point sonu took a break after a song to drink some water and the audeince was extremely quiet..then a few girls screamed 'we love u sonu!' and sonu stopped drinking his water picked up the mike and said 'i love u too' with a cute little grinš
At one point he asked the audience what they wanted to hear and some responded with 'Bijuria.' He was like okay and started singing this old song called 'Bijuria.' then he stopped after a few lines and said..no thats not what u want right? adn the audience said no we want 'Bijuria!!" so he sang yet another old song called 'Bijuria' but then stopped after a few lines b/c the audience was protesting. he then said that he didnt know what song they were talking about and wanted someone to come up and sing a few lines from it so he would know the lyrics. That was one of the cute parts of the concert š
the live band/orchestra was really nice š for some of the songs the band performed with back-up of the recorded version or some additional music...however Sonu stopped in the middle of singing KANK to tell everyone that the entire music that was being played was being performed live by the band and it was amazing b/c it sounded exactly like the original!!!
in the 'democratic round' he sang slightly different songs: he sang, Satrangi Re, Sandese Aate Hai, Tu (from his album Kismat), Mujhe Raat Din, and Do Pal
every song that Sonu sang he added a nice little tweak to it..he personalized his own songs and made them abs even more beautiful..he began with and ended with Kal Ho Na Ho and it sent chills up my spine š
in one song..cant remember which one right now š³ sonu held out a note for a reallllllllly looong time and one of the guitar players walked up to sonu, and stood beside him. the guitar player held out his arm so he/ the audience could see a watch and 'timed' sonu to see how long he could hold out the note š
an extremly funny part of the concert (and sorry if this offends anyone) was when Sonu started to sing like Himesh Reshmiya 'through his nose' and said 'if i sing like this then i'll be famous too'
The security at constitutional hall was extremely annoyingš¤¢ they went after people dancing in the aisles and made them stop and escorted them back to their seats..and were doing so when Sonu sang 'Tera Rang Balle Balle' as one of his last and fastest songs. Sonu stopped singing in the middle of the song and asked the security to let the people dance for this song and not to stop them..he also added that if they wanted to stop the show b/c of his request then they could do so too but that he wanted the audience to dance and enjoy with him
ohh and also some people tried to stop him from doing a show in the D.C. area and doing it somewhere else š” soo glad though that he didnt listen to them š because the D.C. show was PACKED !!!!!! it was almost completely full!!!!!
okay soo to sum it up it was AMAAAAAAAAZING!ššš if u still have a chance to go..don't think!! just go! sonu promised to make it a memorable night and it def was one!š
