With his latest directorial venture Student Of The Year, Karan Johar hasn't just returned to direction, he's also turned choreographer with the song Ratta Maar.
However, KJo is clear that while a director is involved in every aspect of filmmaking, he should take credit only for direction. So he says, "I haven't taken any credit for dance direction in the film."
It happened by chance, says Karan. "Since there was no choreographer available on that day, I thought I would do it for a day and get a choreographer subsequently. But I liked what I saw and decided to direct the whole song. The fact that it was a lip-sync song picturised on first-time actors was an addded challenge."
Karan has brought together the top choreographers in the business for the different songs in the film. So, while Farah Khan has two songs, Vaibhavi Merchant, Bosco, Remo Fernandes and Karan have one track each.
