Not that Pink, Hiten! says Ankita Lokhande
Actress bursts out laughing as she sees the color of co-star Hiten Tejwani's shirt When Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta decided to celebrate Ganpati Bappa's arrival with an entertainment extravaganza Pavitra Rishta Ganesh Chaturti on Saturday, 22nd September, some of the most popular faces from Zee TV's primetime shows were roped in to perform dance acts alongside the key actors of Pavitra Rishta - Hiten Tejwani, Ankita Lokhande, Rithwik Dhanjani and Asha Negi.
So, when it was time to choreograph a dance routine with Hiten and Ankita, the songs chosen were the iconic title track of the show and a song that symbolizes Manav Archana's love Saathiya Ye Tune Kya Kiya. At the shoot, however, Ankita Lokhande burst out giggling as she saw co-star Hiten walk on to the stage. The sequence being a soft romantic act, Ankita had demanded a rather Barbie-like pink gown for herself the creative team had consequently planned a pastel pink shirt for Hiten to go well with Ankita's outfit, completing the whole "Barbie and Ken"feel for the act.
When Ankita saw Hiten, she fell to the floor in peals of laughter as she checked out his look from head to toe. Poor Hiten was at a loss as to the reason for Ankita's unending laughter. As Ankita indicated to him that the shirt made him look less like Ken, and more like "Barbie", Hiten turned red with embarrassment. "If that is what you really think, I won't wear this shirt" he was overheard telling Ankita as he headed to his dressing room to change into a different shirt. Thank God Hiten is an easygoing and cooperative actor, said a source from the creative team of the show. "After some convincing, we got him to wear the shirt in question as it was perfectly fine.
We had done a trial with him the very previous day and he had approved the shirt himself. It's good that he ignored Ankita's taunts and agreed to wear it or it would have resulted in a terrible delay in the shoot as our costume designer would have had to come up with another shirt at the very last minute."
The exciting episode will see evergreen Jitendra making an appearance on the show and partaking in a Ganesh maha aarti. Actors Gaurav Chopra,Nandish Sandhu, Kinshuk Mahajan, Narayani Shastri, Rupal Tyagi, Gulki Joshi and Ankit Gera will dance up a storm for Bappa!
