Priyanka Chopra to do a 'Mujra' in Shootout At Wadala?

If everything works out Priyanka Chopra will do a 'Mujra' dance number in Ekta Kapoor and Sanjay Gupta's film Shootout at Wadala. It was a song, the hot and sultry Bipasha Basu was all set to do, till apparently her ex John Abraham put his foot down and insisted on another actress as he didn't feel comfortable working with Bips.
Says a source, "Apparently, it was producer Ekta Kapoor's decision to rope in, the equally sensuous and sizzling hot actress Priyanka as Bipasha's replacement, after John said that he felt awkward to be in the same frame along with Bipasha. Apart from being one of the top actresses today, Priyanka is all set to also do Ekta's 'Milan Talkies' and the producer has been highly impressed with Priyanka's professionalism and dedication towards her work.
It was Ekta who told Sanjay Gupta that they should look at Priyanka to do the Mujra song as she's not just hot but also extremely talented. Apart from the song Pee Cee also plays Manoj Bajpayee's love interest in SAW and shares an intense scene with him and the rest of the cast.
Priyanka too is excited about SAW but is currently in the process of working out her dates. She has to travel a lot to Los Angeles for her Hollywood music album (the song In The City released last week and is already a big hit) and also complete her shooting for Krrish 3. So, she's struggling to find her dates for the SAW song and scene.
However, Ekta is very sure she wants only Priyanka and is waiting for her to work it out. They have even offered, Priyanka an exorbitant sum of money to do the film."
Elaborating on what went wrong with Bipasha and the makers of SAW, the source adds, "Sanjay Gupta wanted to have an authentic Mujra number in the movie as it is set in the 80's era. It was for this reason that he and Ekta had earlier approached Bipasha who had been signed for a powerful scene and an item song in SAW, where she was to play Chitra, Manoj Bajpayee's (Sabir) love interest.
John Abraham (Manya Surve) plays a gangster who bumps off Sabir. In the song, there was even an interaction between John and Bipasha in the film. Bipasha was even brushing up her moves for the item number till John held a meeting with Ekta and Sanjay and told them he was uncomfortable working with Bipasha post their split and if they could look for her replacement."
When asked if they have approached Priyanka for a huge amount to do the Mujra song and scene, CEO, Balaji Motion Pictures, Tanuj Garg says, "None of this is true." However when asked further if they hadn't approached Priyanka at all, Garg doesn't deny it but adds cagily, "We are talking to various people for various things."
Director Sanjay Gupta remained unavailable for comment.
Tusshar Kapoor will also be seen in Shootout at Wadala as one of Manya Surve's most trusted men, in the role of gangster Sheikh Munir, while Kangana Ranaut plays Manya's romantic interest.
