A Facebook post has surfaced on social media in which Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is seen admitting the gang’s role behind attacks at Kapil Sharma’s cafe and sending a stern warning to the comedian. The post allegedly claims responsibility for the shooting at Kap’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada, which has raised concerns about the safety of public figures and the reach of organized crime. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the matter, and the comedian has not yet made a public statement.

“JAI SHRI RAM, Satshriakal ram sare bhaiyo ko aj jo y kapil sharma k kaps cafe..Surrey m firing hui iski jimevari, Goldy dhillon, Lawrence bishnoi gang lete h isko hamne call ki thi isko ring nhi Sunai di to karwai krni pdi ab b ring n sunegi to next karwai jaldi hi Mumbai krege"(sic) the post read.

This roughly translates to, “We take responsibility for the firing in Surrey. We had called him, but he did not hear the ring, so we had to take action. If he still does not hear the ring next action will be in Mumbai," the purported post read.

Mumbai police is still verifying the authenticity of the Facebook post. Kapil Sharma's Surrey-based café, Kap's Café, has been targeted by gunfire for the second time within a month. The fresh attack occurred early Thursday morning in British Columbia, Canada, raising serious concerns about ongoing threats linked to criminal networks with terror ties.

Surrey Police reported that the incident occurred around 4:40 am on August 7, 2025, outside a business in the 8400 block of 120 Street. Officers found multiple bullet marks, damaging windows and parts of the building, but thankfully, no one was injured.

Authorities believe the cafe came under a similar attack on July 10, orchestrated by the Laddi gang, which is linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI).

In a collaborative post with his wife, Ginni, last week, Kapil Sharma shared a video of officials visiting his café as they enjoyed a peaceful meal. The caption of the post, in which Kapil made it clear that they do not support any sort of violence, caught everyone’s attention.

“Thank you Mayor Brenda Locke, @surreypoliceservice and all the officials who visited @thekapscafe_ to show their love and support. United we stand against violence. We’re truly grateful," the comedian wrote.
