Cross roads.. chapter 14

Anahita showed Garima all the stuff she had been hiding since the past 10 years, information against Rodger, his files, his secrete hidings, cameras, usbs, mobiles and what not.

Garima: what is all this.

Anahita: IMI I want to tell u the biggest truth and the biggest secrete of my life. (and so anahita told garima all about her change and what has been happening to her, the torture, the misery and her longing for happiness)

Garima hugged anahita tight in a bear hug not letting go, as if she would get hurt and vanish if she leaves which was partially true. The ladies where crying a river over how their lives had taken an ugly turn. They were so many questions garima wanted to ask but she knew why anahita did this. She did it for her husband, her son and somewhere for khushi too.

Garima: we will deal with this together but first we have to deal with Rishab. Anu u have to tell him the truth as soon as possible. He would be so happy to see all this and he will be so happy to get u back in his life.

Anahita: I hope its not too late.

Garima: nothings too late, its better late than never Anu. I cant believe I left u alone to deal with this alone, I always knew that Rodger was never to be trusted in ur case. We will fight for our kids together.

Anahita: I am the soul reason for this rivalry Imi, only I can undo this mistake.

Garima: we will undo it. *with that she hugged anahita*

Khushi was outside Payals house and it looked as if she was adamant not to remove her hands from the horn.

Payal: oh god khush relax!!

Khushi: peej what took u so long???? Its 4 already and we have to board in half an hour and the airports a good 45 minutes away from ur house.

Payal: excuse me! Being an ugly jassi is not that easy OK! If u were in such a hurry why didnt u come early?

Khushi: I told u to be ready by 3 30 PEEJ!

Payal: ok khushi, breath in breath out.

Payal knew khushi panics without reasons at time but somehow this time she was right at being panicked bcoz payal herself could feel the same feeling within her. Or was it because of the fact that she was meeting akash!

Khushi: hello akash

Arnav: khushi where are u, we need to board in less than half an hour.

Khushi: umm.. listen.. can u please take our passes too. I know u have contacts and u can very well do that. We will be late. Muah!

Arnav: aaa.. o.k

By arnavs reaction khushi understood what she had said, such things were normal with NK but not all guys and maybe not at all with this particular guy. Time for damage control.

Khushi: kbyethanks!

She said in a breath and disconnected the call before arnav could react.

Payal: what did u just do? U ordered him khushi, 'u' work for him not the other way round!!

Khushi: correction, Im designing his office, he needs ME and wo umm' I didn't order him, I requested. *LIES**AGAIN* said the khushi inside.

Payal: u were totally comfortable with him, the way u r with NK, whats the deal bro?

Khushi: oh come on peej, don't even go there, its not what u think'. *LIES AGAIN AGAIN*

Payal was testing khushi, to see whether she tells her about arnav or not but she didn't. payal wasn't disappointed but khushi never hid anything from payal. What r u upto khushi ' payal thought.

Arnav on the other end was shocked, *MUAH* he could actually feel her lips on his cheek although she had never kissed him. Oh god this girl is driving me nuts ' arnav thought.

Within 35 minutes they were at the airport, thanks to khushis rash driving. Arnavs driver was supposed to take her car back and drop at her place.

The seats were already reserved and boarding done, now they had to patiently wait and sit in the lobby. Again thanks to arnavs connections they were in a private room just for them ' arnav, khushi, akash, payal and of course NK!

Khushi obviously being a fidgety little fellow wanted to roam around and explore the airport, not that she hadn't been here but whats better than sitting in this room waiting... ANYTHING, even if it means browsing the place for the hundredth time. arnav however was a total opposite of khushi but the awkward silence that came after khushi, nk and payal were done talking was bugging him so he decided to browse the place too but not alone.

Arnav: umm, payal can u come with me, I need to show u something of the airport and I want something that sort in my office.

The fact that the great ASR could not lie was an obvious show which went unnoticed by many except khushi, maybe it was something in his eyes that gave way to his heart, the truth! Shut up khushi its just that u know the truth u think he is lying. ' khushi thought.

Khushi: ya sure lets go.

With that they left and arnav gave NK a look which only his cousin could understand.

After a few minutes NK also scooted away from there with an excuse of going to the rest room.

Arnav and khushi were looking around the place not really concentrating but thinking of how to start the conversation. Why was it so easy in the morning.

Khushi: ur mom came!

Arnav: hmm..

Khushi: ur mom came to my place when I was leaving.

Arnav was shocked, what was his mom doing at khushis place. She didn't intervene in this matter and even refuse to discuss it with anyone leaving it on the trio to deal with it alone. He couldn't put the pieces of the puzzle together. He had seen his mother cry in the morning, what was the reason behind it.

Arnav: what was she doing there. Came to meet u?

Khushi: oh I thought that too but she was there to meet my mom. And MY GOD u should have seen the two ladies. They were acting like teenagers. I have never seen my mom run like that and hug someone. At first I didn't recognize her but she somewhat looked familiar, she had ur chocolate brown eyes and straight nose, actually u have her chocolate brown eyes and straight nose. So I was saying, they were crying and crying and crying. Btw ur mom looked sad, did u say anything to her. Oh I remember she doesn't look like arnav she looks like anjali di and u! oh I don't know if im allowed to say this or not but akash she looked sad, I could feel a sence of longing in her. Maybe it was because she met my mom after so long and I remember ur dad telling me that our parents were very close , as a family. I don't know maybe im looking too deep into it. But it was something In the way she looked at me. Its just' u know, I cant even explain.

Khushi was going on and on about it and didn't notice that arnav had stopped walking.

Things were moving too fast for him, his mother at khushis place, went to meet khushis mother, she was crying, longing for something, her look towards khushi'. What was all this. Arnav had stopped walking the moment he heard his mother was crying, he had seen her crying when she left the house and to be honest he never expected her to go to khushis place. As long as he remembered his mom had buried her past, made new friends, made a new life for herself in which she was, by the looks of it happy, but arnav could understand what khushi felt because he felt the same at times. His mother would look at him with love and affection and then the next second, her eyes would turn different as if masking her feelings. He could always sense the hurt in her expression when he and anjali misbehaved with her, the longing in her eyes whenever they would spend time with their father instead of her. Wasn't she the one who drove them away from her. She cant do this to them, be in there life and then kick them out of her life and expect to return. Why now, one thing that bothered arnav was did she know? Did she know about Rodger? She never talked to dad and he was always alone to deal with such matters. But something inside arnav told him she knew.

Khushi: akash, akaash! What happened? Listen im so sorry if u don't want to talk about this so-

Arnav: khushi'

Sometimes my name from his mouth sounds different, everytime with a different emotion. But what now, this wasn't his angry side NO, not even his flirty side NO, not even his concerned side NO, wasn't his business side NO! THEN WHAT! And the moment the moist chocolate brown met with the hazel khushi understood what he wanted. He wanted her, just the way she wanted him in the morning.

It was time for the truth to come out. Arnav had decided, he could not protect khushi without her knowing she was supposed to be protected. He needed her just the way she needed him in the morning. He needed someone to be there with him during the truth, he had to know his mothers truth. Why didn't he think of this before. Anger and hatred had blinded him.

She walked towards arnav and held his hand in assurance and he in turn held it tighter.

Arnav: khushi I don't want u to promise me u will be there for me but please just hear me out once and don't jump to conclusion.

Khushi: I know how u feel, I am there akash!

Arnav: khushi im not akash.

She didn't leave his hand neither did her hold felt lose it was instead tighter as if encouraging him to go on.

Arnav: I am ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA.

so how was it!!!!
