Arjun Purvi got married at about the same hour when Purvi was supposed to marry Arjun. So, how is Muhurtham not being followed here? And the Pandit himself said that Arjun and Purvi have now been formally wedded after the ceremony. Presence of elders is never a requirement for a marriage to be sanctioned. We had Gandarva vivah since ages which did not entail the presence of other witnesses.

Ahhh yes yes yes...**smiles**...I remember you..."name I cannot even begin to pronounce" A die hard ARMAN fan...no hard feelings there on my part...as my best friend is one...however, if I remember..you are the one with something against ARVI. I have seen your comments in the past...

As far as what you have said...yes I can deny that and I do. So there. Arjun is not Purvi's sister's husband. I invite you to back your viewpoint with details as I have done mine. As for the Jeeju part and Jeeja ji part...well that is too ridiculous to even bother responding...

Thank you for caring about me..remembering me. I appreciate that. 😃

If you have a sister..and she is married. What you call her husband?
Grandpa? Uncle? Cousin?
No..the whole world including 12 year old kid know the answer.
it's brother in law. In India..they call him Jija Ji.
That's..a fact.

How can you deny fact?

Purvi should call arjun with that...Jija Ji.

That's...a fact. You can not deny it whatsoever.
😃

If you still deny it..then it's the same you deny the earth is a sphere..thinking it's flat.

Peace be with you.❤️

You are correct so if Purvi is pregnant then Arjun and Purvi already had a Gandharva vivah ( I had said this earlier on another post) and as bigamy is against the law, his marriage to Ovi would be null and void.

Ovi is not Purvi's sister. Ovi never even accepted her mother let alone her mother's adopted daughter. In fact when Purvi goes missing Ovi openly tells Manav not to go after Purvi's kidnappers as she is nothing to them. When Ovi never considered Purvi her sister ever, where is the relationship? They are not biological sisters nor were they raised as sisters, half-sisters or even step-sisters or even in the same household so since they are not sisters in any sense or fashion, Arjun is not Purvi's jiju. Arjun would be Teju's jiju.

Arch, yes non-consummation of a marriage is just cause for an annullment, I believe in most religions and in civil marriages.

There can be other causes that make a marriage null and void.
Prohibitory impediments make entering a marriage wrong but do not invalidate the marriage, such as being betrothed to another person at the time of the wedding; other impediments include 1) being brother and sister, blood relation 2) Insanity 3) Not intending, when marrying, to remain faithful to the spouse 4)One partner had been deceived by the other in order to obtain consent, and if the partner had been aware of the truth, would not have consented to marry 5) Abduction of a person, with the intent to compel them to marry 6) Clandestinity 7) killed the spouse of one of them in order to be free to marry 8)The spouse committed adultery. 9) The couple were under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the marriage.
10)The union was not consummated.
I think number 2), 3), 4) and 10) would certainly apply. 9) might too if you argue that Arjun was under the influence of the drug called Purvi and Ovi under the influence of the drug called Arjun. And of course the prohibitory impediment would exist as the groom was betrothed to someone else.
Whether these reasons apply or not, the marriage can be made null and void as if it did not exist at all by Arjun getting an annullment based on reason 10 alone haste post haste.

Yes..that's a fact. We can't deny it.
But that doesn't mean the relationship isn't there.
Ovi is Archana real daughter.
Archana adopted Purvi..she raised her as her own.
So now Arjun is married with Ovi..archana call him Son in law.
And if Purvi marry with Arjun..what will archana call him? the same..Son in law. I never heard adopted Son in law.

So the connection/relationship is there..through Archana.

But if you still think Purvi status as adopted daughter can play a big role in denying her calling Arjun as Jeeju..then i have nothing to say.

I'm saying this assuming the adopted thing is out of question.

I see your point. All things being equal if they had been raised together and had a sibling relationship, yes, you would be perfectly right. In this instance, I would beg to differ, Archana may call Arjun son in law married to either but just because she shares a relationship with both girls, doesn't mean they share a relationship with each other. For instance, my husband's sister is my sister in law and my brother's wife would be my sister-in-law too even though the two sisters-in-law don't necessarily share a relationship.
Maybe in time the VI girls (PurVI and oVI) will become real sisters.
