I am trying to gauge the mood of the forum
A lot of debate is on justifying Nidhi's insecurities and her expectations of her husband.

There is another line of thought that justifies Ashutosh's behaviour and how he is hurt that Nidhi misunderstands him. So his anger..

But in all this... if we just summarized the incident, Ashu was trying to help an old friend who tried to kill his wife. And Nidhi is obviously not happy with the attention that her husband is giving another woman... Something that Ashu casually commented..

Let us take it at face value that Nidhi is indeed not happy or comfortable with Ashu's and Mallika's interaction at any level... a friend, a collegue or as a fellow human being.

It is that wrong to expect that a husband to stop the interaction. Even if Nidhi is asking for something very very unreasonable (Personally I support Nidhi and will never tolerate my husband continuing a relationship of any sorts with people I absolutely cannot stand or who seem like a threat to my marriage)...
Both are eqaully responsible for the MU today...

But the question of the day is... Without reading too much into the lines, without trying to interpret the various underlying layers in the serial...

If Nidhi justified in expecting Ashutosh to stay away from Mallu just because she is not comfortable with Mallu?

What would you do?

Divya, its not just about Nidhi being uncomfortable with Mallu na. If that were the case, leaving home is a step too big. But so far none of Nidhi's experiences with Mallu have been good. Whenever Mallu entered, she tried to not just separate AshNI but crumple their relationship to pieces. she is NOT over reacting. she is scared of what kind of toofan she will be bringing this time around. its very natural.

Yes.
Mallu is not an other woman. She is the person for whom Nidhi suffered like hell and time after time. Mallu almost killed her. It was Anji's call that saved her. Ashu never believed her. She was blamed as murderer. She took all. All for Ashu. For her unconditional love for Ashu. If she expect Ashu to keep away from the glorious(!) lady ,Mallika, she is 200% justified.

I agree Sujatha... leaving the house is not a step I endorse... however I personally think even if Nidhi is acting childish, even if she is being unreasonable as a spouse shouldn't Ashu first identify why she feels what she does...

When one is unreasonable the other should take a step back and think, shouldn't they?

However giving Nidhi no benefit of doubt and assuming she is childish, is she still justified in expecting her husband to humor her and stay away from the one person she is absolutely not comfortable with?

I also voted yes.
If my husband did that I would leave him also.
She is absolutely justified on every level.

As a wife, maybe...but as a doctor, no...and the two roles are too intermingled here to take a stand...the shades are the grayest of gray!

Divya, its not about expecting her husband to "humour" her...its expecting her husband to "reassure" her and think from HER point of view for ONCE in his life. why do you think she stuck with him when Mallu was faking the last time? he even accused her of trying to kill his friend. why did she stay then? thats because, she saw things from HIS pt of view and understood that he genuinely trusts Mallika and she would need solid proof if she has to prove something to him. But when its now HIS turn, he is not even TRYING to see her pt. he just uses the word "childish" as if its some kind of slang.

Suja, the fact is Ashutosh's reasons for what he did were very obvious...although personally, I would have preferred Nidhi to have stayed away when she left the last time...maybe then it would not have come to this...but this is KPji's story at the end of the day...

However, in the present, the fact is Ashutosh is completely misreading the situation...he thinks Nidhi is insecure about their relationship...he thinks she is still being possessive and he finds that immature given the situation...unfortunately for him and her, that is not the issue here;...but, while she accused him of doing what he did because he was unable to control his paternal instincts, do you really think she will spell out what her problem really is even if he asks...I really wonder...neither wants to fall in the other's eyes! Hence the effort to get onto moral high ground!

As a doctor it will be justified to admit her in that hospital where Mallu's gynecologist practices. She is her patient and she can be under her observation for most of the time. She will be absolutely fine there with all medical attention. Ashu can check her condition over phone. He want to take personal care of Mallu so he brought her in KGH. As a doctor he is not justified too.

I completely agree sujatha... and it bring anguish to think in these lines... how can someone forget all that she had done for him and yet claim i am the person who is putting up with nonsense...

If I bring Mallu (Redeemed or otherwise ) into the picture then the answer is a clear cut YES... But like i mentioned in another thread considering someone who has never had realtionships, never had a home... shouldn't he be more careful to protect what he has... I can see the protective streak where Mallu's baby is concerned... but if this guy wants his own child shouldn't he be protective of his home and his marriage?

How can he casually say Ghar ujadta hai to ujadne do... What EGO??

Would anyone risk their security, their priceless home and their marriage for humanitarian (Again debatable... I think Ashu crossed this line long long back) actions?

Each time Mallu comes in the picture Ashu is butchered...

This reminds me of the first promos of KTLK where Ashu says about Nidhi... "Use saza dena bhi mushkil and maaf karna bhi mushkil" .. Today it is applicable to Ashu.. we love him but he is making us hate him by marooing such dialogues... 😡
