Ovi attempts suicide in Pavitra Rishta- Article

Zee TV and Balaji Telefilms' Pavitra Rishta is progressing towards the wedding of Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) and Purvi (Asha Negi). All of Ovi's (Shruti Kanwar) efforts to convince Archana (Ankita Lokhande) to get her married to Arjun in return to getting all the love and affection of her family will fail, as in the coming episodes Archana will spring a surprise by bringing the wedding card of Arjun and Purvi.

This is when an extremely dejected Ovi will try to commit suicide. Ovi who is hysterical will try to slit her wrist, only to be saved on time by Teju (Mrinalini Tyagi).

Amidst all the preparations for the wedding, Ovi will try out various plans to stop the wedding from happening. Soon there will be a party hosted for Arjun and Purvi by the family and Ovi will give the party a miss.

When contacted, Shruti Kanwar stated, "Yes, Ovi's last ray of hope was to convince Archana to get her married to Arjun. When that does not happen, she is not able to control her mind. Viewers will know to what extent Ovi loves Arjun through this particular track."

We hear that the pre-wedding rituals of Arjun and Purvi will be shown in the coming episodes, and the wedding sequences will be aired in the last week of August 2012.
