Archana's indifference toward Ovi

I'm glad you started this topic. I was going to open a similar thread myself. I really, really cannot stand the character of Archana. She has always annoyed me and continues to do so. She is too high on her moral horse to the point that she will hurt her own family in the process. She thinks she is so mahaan all the time, right from the very beginning she has had this habit of always standing up for strangers, 3rd persons, anyone and anybody who she feels has been wronged and to the point that she will stand up against her own family to prove her point. For example the way she stood up for the Chawl people and went to court against her own husband, Manav (who wasn't even wrong in that and she mistrusted him and stood against him in court). Selfish woman to the core. Who in their right mind will stand against their own husband in support of outsiders, Who?????? Her ladli Purvi is following exactly in her mom's steps. The way she stood up against Arjun in favor of the workers in the office. Who is she to meddle in someone's business like that. She should mind her own business and only worry about herself. It is not her responsibility to save the whole world! Both Archana and Purvi, time and again will continue to fight with their husband/significant other/family members/biological children in order to show their greatness to the world. If you notice, ever since entering the lives of Manav and Arjun, these 2 women have brought these guys down to their knees single handedly. Savita did absolutely right by taking Manav and the kids away from Archana to Canada. She saved them from her. Manav and the children were prospering beyond words in Canada, doing so well. Ever since they came back to India, what have they gotten. Nothing but pain and suffering at the hands of Archana and Purvi & Sulo.

Archana most definitely prefers Purvi to her own bio children, it is so obvious. She has not show one iota of caring towards Ovi during this whole situation. The fact that she is supporting Arjun-Purvi, clearly shows she has a preference for Purvi's feelings and future. She shows no concern for Ovi's future. I again refer to the kidnapping episode, where her reaction to Ovi missing was hardly anything. Whereas, when she found out that Purvi was kidnapped, she went berserk and was beside herself falling on the floor, crying her eyes out, begging Manav to help. What a total Bitch she is, not caring about her own bio daughter who she willingly gave up and didn't' even inquire about for 18 yrs. What else does she expect from her daughters, but contempt. I don't care how many people on this board say it is Savita's fault for destroying Archana's family and separating her from her husband and kids. I will only fault Archana. She has a mind and opinion of her own, doesn't she? She always seems to show her attitude and mind when it's something she cares about deeply and speaks up. So why couldn't' she have spoke up 18 years and ago, and went directly to Manav and cleared up all the misunderstandings???? Why didn't' she do that? Again, she had a chance to clear up and tell him her true feelings when first returned to India and she met him at the waterfront. She saw Sachin, and immediately closed up...what an idiot this woman is. She talks about honesty, integrity, sanskar, all BS...She has never been honest one day in her life. She lives under a web of lies, deceiving her own husband and kids. Never once showing any love towards Ovi, because Ovi was competition for Purvi. I can't believe that she would support Arjun and not her own bio daughter, it's just disgusting. YOu would think she would be feeling some remorse, something at all for not being around as a mother figure to these 2 girls. But no, nothing from this woman. No compassion for her own daughter. She only feels compassion for outsiders, the down trodden. This woman is a burden on anybody she associates with. She has been nothing but a noose around Manav's neck all these years. I hope he will divorce her and move on with someone deserving of his love. The way she is trying to instigate him against his own daughter, Ovi is just disgusting. He has never once tried to make her feel about Purvi the way she tries to make him do with Ovi. I only hope Savita stands her ground and causes more problems for ArMan,. May they never reunite, because the day Manav goes back to her will be his downfall.

Not to mention she did the same thing with Soham. She cared more for Varsha than her own husband's feelings and trusted that psycho path with her son. This is the pattern for Archana, she will always support others over her own husband and children. It is a fact! She has ruined Soham's life by allowing Varsha to kidnap him because he has become a gangster. It truly makes me sick when I see Archana and Purvi on the screen, always acting like they are so much better than they are.

They are both such hypocrites! The way Purvi outed Punni for romancing that married guy. Then she turned around and went on a business trip with Arjun while she was his employee and worked till late hours in his hotel room. What kind of professionalism is this? She is full of herself. Can't stand this character.

I think it's better that Archana keep distance from Ovi for a while. Archana has tried many times to bond with her daughters, but they always dog her down and become even more infuriated. How many more times should she try? She's now realized that in two weeks time, she will never make a space in her daughters' hearts. If anything, Archana is respecting Ovi's feelings. She understands the disdain Ovi has and knows it's best to limit interaction with her.

I'm angry at Damodar for not speaking the blatant truth infront of Manav today. I don't know what enjoyment he gets from leading on ArMan. He could clear these misunderstandings in a minute if he tells Manav that Savita replaced plane tickets with adoption papers. Savita is entitled to her opinions, but its disrespectful for her to throw food across the room like that.

Manav shouldn't have sent a sari. If he is adamant on ending this relationship in two weeks, he shouldn't engender hope in Purvi. Especially if he feels that she has betrayed Ovi.

I never admitted that Archana is always right. I said that she always stands up for outsiders in her belief that she is right and just. Most of the times, she is not right. She is wrong.

There is no need to get cheeky with me. I am stating my opinion of this character that I dislike very much. If you like the character of Archana, that is your wish. I don't have to agree with you nor do you have to agree with my opinion.
