Siddhant Karnick is "still trying to figure out why Aasman Se Aage ended so soon"

Siddhant Karnick is a real nature lover and loves to get away from the busy life when he has free time!! With his show Aasman Se Aage on Life OK shutting shop, Siddhant took off for a bike trip in the mountainous range.
Talking about his expedition on the bike, Siddhant tells "I went on a bike trip with 20 friends recently. We started from Chandigarh and touched places like Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti (icy heights of Himachal Pradesh) and finally ended our trip at Leh Ladakh. While returning, we used the treacherous Manali-Leh Highway."

When asked about the dangerous road conditions encountered while driving, the actor says, "Roads all over India are bad. After zipping around the potholes in Mumbai, I have gained a lot of experience in handling the off roader. I use a Bullet 500CC Mean Machine besides my foreign bike."

After returning from this bike journey, Siddhant flew to Bangalore to spend some quality time in the Bannerghatta National Park. "I am enjoying the company of white tigers, lions and other majestic animals in their pristine natural habitat." Taking a jab at the 'wild life' back in Mumbai, he avers, "I prefer the jungle as there are at least no people to stab you at the back here."

Coming to the work front, Siddhant is presently working on a new experimental play Kora directed by Quasar Padamsee which will premiere in September. "The best part of this musical based play is that we are full of artistes who can do well on some other performing arts other than acting. I can dance while there are few who play some musical instruments."

Siddhant who has earlier been part of the notable Rage Productions' play Satellite City is also busy these days with an offbeat film tentatively titled Liten Amaya with Farooque Sheikh and Deepti Naval. "Working with such talented people is a learning curve. Though I cannot talk much about the script, I can say that this is a feel-good film."

Lastly, we could not stop from asking Siddhant on the reason for Aasman Se Aage to shut early and he was quick to say, "We are still trying to figure out that. People say the show did not have TRPs, but if this was true then I would not have been appreciated for my work in the show by a Buddhist lady in isolated Ladakh when I was there for my bike ride."

----------------------------------

Well said Sid, I also am very unhappy the show got shut ! It is an amazing show and deserved a long duration. You are into the passion of dancing and I am sure with acting and dancing on the show was a blast for you.

All the characters were differnt and they have an edge over other characters which I saw on other shows
Alias this show did need room to stay

Awesome! I didn't know about Sid's being nature lover. Aah , that makes him exceptional in my eyes. Every time I read his interview , I find out new things about him. And he does many interesting & unique projects. Love it<3

Aww! I also wanna know why ASA has ended so soon. I've even asked some of my friends here on I-F who're from India and they all used to watch this show. It's strange and beyond me why the TRPs were low, in spite of being such an awesome show :/

Thanks for sharing , Shanti :)

Welcome donno why this show got axed , I would conclude that the channel was having tiff with others about the show showing many aspects of how reality TV or any show works of TRPs
Or the audience the masses are stuck with saas bahu shows pure love stories revenge stories & do not wish to watch intellectual shows which thrive on emotional understanding of humans & their goals to achive their mission etc... & how fame has its twists & turns to grab them

this show can be easily connected with the way dramas work on televsion

I can conclude that this was the best show for 2012 & deserves an award fabulous team & extro ordinary workmanship and the characters were real !
