Vidya Balan was once an obscure tv star and now

look where she is.

Sonam is Anil Kapoors daughter. If nothing else

she will do the random movie till its marriage time

thrn she might even turn producer or something.

Exactly. She'll get married to some rich dude, and become some contributing editor to XYZ magazine, part-time hostess and full time bullshitter in 140 characters.

Sonar neither has the talent, drive and need to make it to the top. Plus, she simply isn't cut out for the rat race.

sonam brought high fashion to bollywood ..if today we see the sonakshis, anushkas, asins etc of the world aping her and getting their stylists and into high fashion, designer wear et all, its thanks to her... even though they lack the inherent sense of personal style that sonam has, seeing them better put together than the kareena's ( those awful sarees), aishwarya and katrina (bori ng) is praise worthy.

Sonam is having a great time playing dress up. After going from being a overweight podgy gal to a pefect bod today, she is living it up. She has never claimed to be the best actress or the most ambitious..she already has enough money, fame and glamour, the 3 keys desires of a star ( not an actor but a star) and honestly, if she has decided to carve out a diff niche for herself as BW's fashion icon whats the harm in that? she isnt wasting her dad's money by asking him to produce more films for her nor is she wasting other producer's money...so whats the problem in her focusing on fashion so long as she isnt being hypocritical abt it? thats one thing i do apprecaite abt sonam-she is brutally honest and has no pretentions..whether its her movies, her prioroties, her family, her weight -she says it like it is...

regarding her talent...well, though she is not a great actress , she is not bad either ...she does have potential but needs to hone her skills by doing more movies...once playing dress up is out of her system, hopefully she will turn her attention to films and do well...till then, am ok seeing her next red carpet appearance.

Talent was never a requirement to make it big in Bollywood. Hype is important along with networking. I think Sonam's problem is her big mouth. Bollywood doesnt take kindly to people who speak out too many secrets to outsiders. She is still young...so maybe if she 'patches up' with the right people like DP she still has a chance. But yes I do hope while she is waiting for films she takes some serious acting classes.

Think its very early to write her off completely..she was good in Sawariya and Delhi 6..

Things can change for her. Who would have thought Katrina would rule Bollywood after watching Boom and MPKK!😆

I ask myself that question. I worry for Sonam, I really wanted her to do well but because of this fashionista tag. I don't see her much in films, really want her to do well. I really think she can improve on her acting but it's down to her.
