Today we finally witnessed the metamorphosis of Mirchi Madam to Mishti Madam ------ and how ! What a relief to see this transformation , starting from Megha's "Aji sunte ho" to her apology and expression of gratitude to Mohan, it all seemed as if I was looking at a totally different person------I guess this feeling must've been shared by Monu as well, coz he looked as if he couldn't believe his ears and was staring in bewilderment at Mrs. Bhatnagar Jr. being all lovey dovey , instead of the "prickly pear" Mrs. Vyas that he knew. I knew in my heart that Monu's confession would be to a sleeping Megha ( based upon my previous serial watching experience that is )---otherwise would all be so easy -----but I'm happy that Megha was spared the pain of hearing the bitter truth on the happiest day of her life . Words fail to express the superbly emoted inner turmoil of Mohan Bhatnagar , from lovelorn , coy , shy, pensive , romantic , charming to guilt-torn---the entire kaleidoscope of emotions flitting across Mohan's face was stellar ! Majnu Monu torn between the bittersweet moment reveling and drowning in the aphrodisiac of Megha's sweet words and expression of love, marking the fulfillment of his wish on one hand, and the intense desire to come clean and blurt out the truth about his folly (?) on the other, was commendable and compelled me to empathize with him . Mohan's discomfort seemed to have compounded with Megha's statement about truth being the basis of their relationship . In the words of the great Greek philosopher Sophocles "How dreadful knowledge of the truth can be when there's no help in truth!" I shudder to imagine Megha's plight upon Monu's disclosure ----- the feeling of vulnerability at the inability to do anything about it except acceptance , under the circumstances . So my advice to Monu"The truth is a beautiful and terrible thing and should therefore be treated with great caution. " ( JK Rowling)------ so please don't go rushing where angels fear to tread !
The Monu Guru dialogs afforded some comic relief to the episode , but I 'm loath to believe that Guru's Mummy-Papa forgot to mention the meaning of " honeymoon" to him -----but still I thought his definition was quite amusing and a treat to watch. Induji's anger seemed quite justified upon finding an undisturbed conjugal bed and a missing Bahu------as it was Monu himself who had requested her to come back and complete the rasams . All in all an enjoyable episode comprised mostly of sweet stolen Meghan moments ------but the glimpse of Ridz in the precap is getting my BP up !
