Adi Shakti is the ultimate Goddess, or Tripura Sundari as she is referred to. Lakshmi, Parvathi, and Saraswati all make up Adi Shakti, so basically Adi Shakti is married to Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahadev through her three different forms. In Ramayana Devi Sita is a referred to as a part of Adi Shakti, and same also in Krishna's avatar, Devi Radha is referred to as Adi Shakti. In the Mahabharata, Draupadi is also referred to as Adi Shakti.Adi Shakti's incarnations are numerous. She is married to Lord Vishnu as Lakshmi, Lord Shiva as Sati and Parvathi, and Lord Brahma as Saraswati, but they all are the same and equal in power and importance.
After creating 18 puranas Ved Vyas wanted to know more about Bhagavati's highest element. he did penanace at Himalaya, pleased with his hard penance Bhagavati told him to go to Brhmaloka, where all the Shruti's are present, you will know my secret there. Vyas went to Brhmaloka, greeted all 4 Vedas, asked them about the highest element of Bhagavati. All the Shruti's prayed to Goddess as a result Goddess Jagadamba appeared, who was shining as 1000 Suns, was as cool as 1000 Moons in her hands holding many weapons, wearing divine jewellery, was sitting on a Lion. She took different forms. Sometimes in Vishnu form with Lakshmi, sometimes Radha with Krishna, sometimes Brhma ith Savitri, sometimes Gauri with Shiv, like that she showed her many forms & cleared Vyas's doubts. This Jagadamba is Aadya Shakti or Aadi Shakti.Lord Shiva did penace to get Goddess Jagadamba as his wife. She tested him inher ferrocious form, but Shiva was unaffected. Pleased with this she told him she will be born as Daksh's daughter as Purna-Prakruti & will marry him. When Daksh will disrespect you & me then I'll leave & go back to my dhaam. Then we will be seperated, even you won't be able to live at one place without me., that's how our love will be forever.

i disagree...shiva is the supreme god...or you can say..the power...which got parted into three forms brahma, vishnu and shankara...shiva was nirakar...and so was his power.shakthi..adi shakthi...lakshmi, saraswathi and parvathi are just fractional powers of shakthi...coming to radha...she was not adishakthi...she was just a fictional character..created...infact...radha character never existed...the same applies to draupathi too...she was a human who did penace for a husband with five qualities in her previuos birth...so she got married to pandavas...she was human..not a form of goddess...the concept of devi...is vast ...no one knows clearly what actually the story is...each puran gave its own versions...only truth is ...god is god...he/she answers us if we pray him/her with full faith...rest of all doesnot matter
