Indore: Depalpur-resident Dilip, who recently broke into Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's home 'Jalsa' in Mumbai, recalls how he was slapped by the actor. But he says he has no regrets for it brought him in close quarters with his favourite star.
Mumbai police had brought Dilip to Mirzapur to investigate in the matter and flew him back later in the day. Cops said there was only a case of minor violence against him, and none of theft or loot.
'Amitabh Bachchan slapped me twice'
Dilip said that while he was in Mumbai, he wished to catch a glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan. He sneaked up from behind BigB's bungalow Jalsa, fooled the guards and climbed onto the first floor balcony with the help of a tree near the boundary wall.
From an open door, he climbed into the room on first floor. There, in one of the rooms, he found Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. Lying on a table next to them was a purse.
As soon as Dilip picked up the purse Amitabh discovered the 'intruder' (Dilip) in his room, grabbed the purse from his hand and slapped him hard, twice. Amitabh raised an alarm and the guards caught hold of Dilip.
Dilip admits that he could've run for his life if he wanted to, but he stood transfixed at the sight of BigB. He felt like a deer caught in the headlights, he says, but has no remorse at having been slapped by the Amitabh Bachchan himself.
