I don't understand why a section of the audience wants Bollywood to become like Hollywood. Why don't you just watch Hollywood films then?

Bollywood is popular for it's family oriented films and musicals but sadly, all of that is fading nowadays. There are less family films being made, and the music has been atrocious in the past few years. In fact, I think Hindi filmmakers are trying too hard to move out of their shell, and in the process they are losing a section of their audience.

Iranian cinema managed to reach the Oscars and there is not an ounce of skin shown in their films, yet people complain about the conservativity of Hindi films because India is the land of 'Kamasutra'. I think this is a pretty stupid statement. Stop trying too hard and just be yourselves.

Skin show and sex scenes won't take Indian cinema forward, it's the content that will! People enjoy Indian films because they are rich in culture, so stick with it instead of making Westernized films that are no different from Hollywood except the language (even most of the dialouge is Hinglish nowadays).

And this so-called subtlety of Hollywood sex flicks, they are no different from po*nos. Nowadays there are even simulated sex scenes, which is completely insane IMO. When have they stooped so low? Even kid movies nowadays show kissing scenes and are all about boyfriend/girlfriend relationships (just watch Disney channel, it's unbelievable). Whatever happened to innocence? They are taking that away from kids too!

Please stop trying to change Bollywood, we love it the way it is and it should stay this way! I'm not bashing Hollywood but if you want full-on sex then just watch a po*n movie. No point in watching a real film with an actual plot if that's all you're looking for.

IMO, there is no such thing as subtlety in Hollywood. Subtlety means showing a lot without showing too much. In their case, there is nothing left to show.
