Since the removal of Gia Manek as Gopi, I have to say that the show has not got the same magic as it once did. Perhaps the storyline has become state and the lives of the Modi family have nothing new left to offer. However, I cannot help but note that while I was never a fan of the lead character - too boring and was not impressed with the actress in terms; I will now admit, Gia did an excellent job as Gopi.

As much as I praise the efforts of the actress who has tried to step into some very big shoes, the fit is not there...the actress is trying way to hard to protray a demure, passive and simplistic young woman. For Gia this was effortless. She came to me as Gopi.

I really feel Star Plus shot themselves in the foot with this decision - the TRPs are falling and I have found myself bored. I do not know if anyone else feels the same way but I do see myself turning out...

BTW, I am not a fan of Ahem-Gopi jodi- I never cared for it and it was not the reason for my watching the show...the drama between Rashi, Gopi, Koikila and Hetal made the show fun to watch...Plus the scenes with Kinjal, her husband and "Fi" - Rashi's mom (we see so few scenes with these guys nowadays).

well a dislike button has been in demand for quite a few months... let's see if the programmers can add a button and a piece of code to it ..just as we have a dislike button in the fan page comments ...we need here LOL😆

Always Giaa is Gopi. She did the hardwork, moulded the character. All of a sudden, some one from somewhere, comes and claims, that she is the one Gopi, well we are not ready to accept that. The newbiee will be always a newbiee.😛

Things change. Life changes. One accepts and moves on or cries and dwells on the past... choice is yours.

Personally I couldn't understand watching something or someone I claim to hate. But then that's just me.

NB. I said choice was yours! So please don't feel I am compelling you to do anything. If you wanna sit and cry you go right ahead! I have way better things to do with my time.

In the meantime I am off to my mil's for supper... later guys.

Fantastic post Laila... those are definitely my thoughts..

I was a on n off viewer never quite liked Gopi or even Nazim for that matter.. Like you now I realize that Gia was the apt Gopi.. Her vulnerability, her insecurities and gullible nature were portrayed fabulously by Gia, which were Gopi's traits.. To Giaa, expressions and reactions came naturally..
