well i guezzz entertainment i certainly over rated.whenver they raise charity, they bcum the talk of the town..it's very true that some actors get a lot of publicity by the media...they bcum a controversial topic and coz of that many ppl c their serials.
i think even media shud create less hype for the actors.
also their conflicts wid other actors bcum a headline!

Let me try to analyse the situation from a different perspective. The current lot of Bollywood actors,Television or Silver Screen are at a point which has given the whole Bollywood Industry a jumbo lift to be at par with the leading entertainment industries of the world. In the olden days our movies were enjoyed by the public but somehow the madness of the public was missing.I believe that ...
'Public makes stars and stars make us proud'
So the first step is to build the stars. For example AR Rehman recently performed in the US and it was a smash hit. Now think of a situation where AR Rehman was not a popular star.So its very essential to get the popularity and its the public that get it done for these mortals. Therefore i would oppose this term 'OVERRATED' and i would like to suggest that the right word should be 'PUBLICIZE' and there is nothing wrong in any positive propaganda;the more the merrier.

Just for the sake of analogy let me point out the case of movie trailers that ckeeps coming on various channels. They are meant to catch the eyes of the busy men.The current marketing gimmick is different than those of the yesteryears.Men are more busy these days and you need to be more aggressive to catch the attention of the public.Hence to make things sell you are bound to hit those areas which builds your framework..in this case the actors/actresses.So there is no harm if we see Himesh displaying his nasal skills in all the channels or Amitabh Bachhan pleading you to use Dabur Lal Tel.We have made them popular and they are making us proud.Let them have their days of glory and who knows....their celebrity status might determine today's youngsters to take that extra step towards fame and glory.Their fame will glorify our nation only and we all would love to see that happen!!!!!
