Why make excuses for Emraan? Hasnt Salman made scriptless films like Ready work? Hasnt Katrina made MBKD work? If someone is going around town claiming to be a star and hiking his price he better be able to justify it. I am sure if Salman did the same Shanghai the collections would have been much better. A star is expected to be able to get people to the theatres to watch his movies. EH doesnt have the capacity to do that. He needs the support of a skimpily clad woman.

I didn't make an excuse , but stated what the critics said. I don't recall the critics being so positive to Salman's or Katrina's acting chops in their films. Also, when where was Salman Khan's star power when Veer flopped...but no he isn't credited the blame b/c the fans decide to blame the director or script. It's def a 2-way street and if people wanna give one person credit for the success, then at the same time when a film fails the same actor better get the fault.

But I don't remember Emmy didn't any credit for his successes and I personally don't credit it b/c I don't think one person can determine the fate of a film. I mean Ready could have worked b/c that concept was already a hit in South Indian cinema so they tried it here, it's songs were super rage before release, Salman came off of blockbuster hits, and it was sooo heavily promoted. There's so many factors that go into a success, who's so say Salman is the SOLE reason. He may one reason, but not the sole. If maybe Salman had done movie like Naughty at 40 and it was a colossal blockbuster I can give him full credit, but Ready already had so much going for it even without the Salman factor.

My point was that the fault in the movie wasn't the acting of the performances, and I think many who watch the films would agree. But the truth is that Abhay and Emmy have never done on the same level as Salman b/c despite their talent they remain underrated.
