How Kareena, Katrina benefit from Emraan as a co-star

With Karan Johar announcing Emraan Hashmi as lead in two of his upcoming productions, it is apparent that the choice of leading ladies would be from the top league as well. One can well expect that this would indeed be flattering for Emraan to see that even top rung heroines (read Kareena, Katrina and the rest) are now looking at benefiting from working with a younger star like him, especially since all this while most of their pairing was with men who were over 40 years in age.

"If you look at Emraan's career journey so far, he has mainly worked with actresses who are new in the industry", says an industry source, "Right from Mallika Sherawat (Murder) to Esha Gupta (Jannat 2), there have been newcomer girls opposite him. In fact his most experienced co-star has been Vidya Balan and there too it wasn't a conventional pairing."

Now an unconventional outing is expected from his pairing with Kareena as well, which would be announced very soon.

"See, casting of a female lead is something that is done by the producers and directors as per what they feel appropriate. I have never sat down and pin pointed on whom I wish to work with and I guess the same would good hold vice versa as well", Emraan keeps his diplomatic hat on, "In any case all girls who have acted in my films have contributed something wonderful and I am sure that would be the case with experienced actresses as well."

We look forward to that for sure Emraan.

He is gonna work with with Kat too? Oh wow...this man is going somewhere. AM happy for him...he is a great actor.

But I think katrina is too tall for him

loll actually he isnt dat short...he is 5.8 n half...same height as Saifu... yeaa I have no life n googled dat up 😆

I always thought emraan was an ok actor. He benefited from a good script+fantastic music from his films to help boost his career. I did always like his choice of movies because they semed more realistic, i feel working with these commercial actress wont exactly do him any good.

LOL at all the hard work EH's PR guys are doing. Usually actresses after getting some success start saying they want to act with Khans or HR or some other big star. Here it is opposite with EH's PR trying to make it seem that these actresses will receive huge gains by working with EH. Which is probably true. They will easily overshadow him. 😆 Only condition is they have to be skimpily clad and do lots of kissing and lovemaking scenes. For Shanghai has proved that EH's so called star power exists only if he has a skimpily clad woman around. Now lets see who bites the bait first.

Agree! I personally don't think a film's successful or failure relies on the shoulder of one individual. Films are a collaboration. Besides, critics loved Emmy and Dimpy...the biggest problem was the pace of the story so there was some flaw in either the script or direction. Either way, I also don't blame Emmy.

I'm so so so so happy for Emraan Hashmi! Recently, his price went up and now he gets to work with a renowned production... Way to go Emmi ..! Finally, you are touching the sky!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3

About how Emraan will look with these gyals ... well, Emraan has always always changed his looks to compliment his on screen girls. Almost all hiis recent movies have had different looks ..hair style...facial..body..etc..etc

If Emraan can look firing hot in Murder 2 with Jacqueline (who isn't any less than Katrina or Kareena..) and dropping hot with Bipasha in R3 (saw some stills)... then he can also compliment Katrina and Kareena easily. Emraans fan following is increasing.. I don't think the girls can overshadow him.

If had to pick one out of the two..then I think Emraan-Kareena will really bring something NEW for the viewers.

AAAHH...I'm sooo HAPPY... <3

Why make excuses for Emraan? Hasnt Salman made scriptless films like Ready work? Hasnt Katrina made MBKD work? If someone is going around town claiming to be a star and hiking his price he better be able to justify it. I am sure if Salman did the same Shanghai the collections would have been much better. A star is expected to be able to get people to the theatres to watch his movies. EH doesnt have the capacity to do that. He needs the support of a skimpily clad woman.
