Last nail in Brija's coffin is coming up. You've been warned.
Brij is giving an on air interview when an angry Billu storms in and yells at him and throws him chappal at him. The journalists are shocked but BBP has Billu removed and gives his funda about being a humble politician and how no harm will come to Billu because he is the CM of the people and as such he is ready to eat their chappals as well as their praise. The journalists, an older man and a younger woman who is giving BBP come hither looks, are very impressed by him.
Meanwhile Billu is being thrashed by Shukla and his goons in some private room of the haveli. Shukla returns in time for BBP to inform the journalists that he has run out of time but is willing to sit down with them again. Shukla takes down the female journo's number and she brushes BBP's chest meaningfully as she removes his mic but he looks like he hasn't noticed.

In jail, Arti is getting ready to go to bed when one lady comes up to her and starts a fight. She has a big knife hidden about her and she suddenly attacks Arti. Everybody starts shouting and the jail people come and rescue Arti who has a long cut on her arm. The woman who attacked her slips out of the cell and meets Dev in the shadows and he gives her the all clear and lets her run away. He comes out and looks at Arti where she's being attended by the authorities and mentally apologizes to her mother.
The Tiwaris and Billu are awakened by a knock late at night and they fearfully open the door to find Arti standing there. She hides that she has handcuffs on one hand and the other is injured but she comes in and hugs both parents. They want to know what is going on but Dev and his officers follow her in and he says there was a threat to Arti's life so she is out on bail and in his custody.
Harivansh and Billu bitterly comment on Dev's betrayal and say he might have arranged for the attack on Arti. Sumitra the chameleon changes colors again and is shocked that everyone is treating Dev like a criminal after he brought Arti home. Dev says he isn't interested in their opinions, he's going to stay with them and is moving in upstairs. Everyone is shocked. Arti stops him to ask if he arranged the attack on her but he doesnt answer her.
BBP is watching the news with Govind Shankar and hears that Arti was attacked in prison and released on bail. The reporters have also come to know about Pooja's disappearance and that the Tiwaris haven't filed a complaint with the police yet. The reporter wants to know why this mystery is deepening with every day and where is Pooja and who is attacking Arti after she and Krish confessed to their crimes?
BBP is sweating and angry about GS's failure to keep an eye on Arti and the Tiwaris and the fact that everyone now knows about Pooja. He says GS is of no use and GS is sullen about this lack of love from his mentor. BBP then accuses GS of attacking Arti and he says he never did anything of the kind but he knows who might do these things and BBP understands his signal.
He calls for Rangoli and Giridhar and asks them if they attacked Arti because this is something only one of his own could have done. Rangoli laughs at being referred to that way and says she and Giridhar didnt do anything of the kind and it is one of his own chess moves that has betrayed him.
GS interrupts to say he has a good idea then who did this. They all stare at him and he drops a bomb - Dev Tripathi. They're all shocked.
Precap: Arti goes to Dev and says he can shoot her. She grabs his hand that's holding the gun and places it against her skull with both hands. An angry Dev grabs her hand, twists it behind her and backs her up against the wall. She can't free herself and he's very close to her.
