1/6DragonClub : Arti caught between Past & Present

Oh my God … what a tension-filled episode today … I have been sitting on the edge of my chair, chewing all my nails in fear and suspense! What a tragicomedy of errors! Looks like this "big lie" is now poised on the brink of exposure. Aarti seemed to have had many moments to tell Yash the truth, but her dithering has seemingly resulted in events overtaking her!

My theme for today's is: Bloody Prashanth! I am not writing an analysis, but instead reliving the horror I have personally gone through as I write all this below …

Initially I had no inkling things would move so fast

When Bua and Gayatri's plan to implicate Aarti in Palak's poor school marks fizzled out, and instead of blaming Aarti they found Yash telling Palak not to tell lies, I thought that was the end of Gayatri and Bua. Little did I expect that it would be the start of another "uljhan session" of Aarti's about the lie she was hiding from Yash!

Even when Aarti made that phone call to Shobha, and she seemed very intensely fearful of hiding the lie, and she explained how torn she was between telling the truth and keeping the lie going … even then I never suspected something more horrible like this would happen …

Some hint of trouble then started creeping into my mind

When Aarti started walking out of the house to go to her mayka, and then her purse fell open and all the contents spilled out on the ground, at that moment some real fear started in my mind … at first I thought she may have some photo of Prashanth or something like that in her purse that Yash will see. But that was nothing, and so I breathed a sigh of relief …

It looked as if it was all just a scene of hand-holding when Yash started helping Aarti put all the contents back in the purse. And then during the car trip it was just some of the usual music playing and then Aarti wanting to tell Yash about the lie, when his phone rang … it started looking like some turbulence but even with all this it did not yet look too ominous …

The horror cascades and and I am in a mental mess

From the car trip it went to the intercut to Shobha and Dubey waiting for Aarti's arrival … and suddenly the whole mega-horrible happenings started just cascading one after another. Shobha opening the door and Prashanth declaring he will not leave, shouting away at the top of his voice. Then Aarti inviting Yash inside for coffee, and herself entering first to see this miserable spectacle of Prashanth there. And then to everyone's utter fear this Yash entering …

Those moments when Yash was on the phone were so tense. He had entered the house but not the drawing room. I knew that in typical soaps-style, somehow it will become a hit or miss of Yash and Prashanth, but I did not expect that Shobha and Dubey would quickly shove him into the bedroom and lock the door. Good thinking, I thought!

And then Yash asking for coffee and Shobha bluffing that the gas was over! Oh, my God, I was in my mind thinking of hundreds of explanations of what Shobha could or would say but she somehow managed.

Worse was yet to come … suddenly the episode looked never-ending

To my continuing horror this Yash stopped to say he would help put Aarti's suitcase in the car if it was ready and packed … and then this good-for-nothing Prashanth trying to find Aarti's jewellery to steal, and finding instead all her old love and marriage keepsakes, and getting the idea to expose it all to Yash in return for money!

To cap it all, we then had the precap … so scary with Prashanth, "exposure-kit" in hand, banging on the bolted door and shouting "Ma, open the door" and Yash also shocked as he listens to all this … heeby-jeebies, I am having the creeps now! I don't think I can survive the weekend with all this on my mind!

In desperation I am counting on one hope for Monday … I hope Mr. Dubey has some clever ideas of his own to handle this belligerent Prashanth knocking from inside the room! Mr. Dubey is standing there doing nothing! Move it, man! Shobha and Aarti are bearing the situation with no respite. Mr. Dubey had better rise to the occasion and do something to neutralise the booming voice and money-making ideas of his ladla son!

How I wish Aarti had found some small moment of time earlier to tell Yash everything .. looks like Prashanth is now fuly into blackmail mode.

I have three big questions to chew over this weekend and I would love to have everyone's ideas …

1. Will the lie really come out now or will it take more time? Is this all a hit or miss or will Prashanth be able to expose Aarti's background to Yash?

2. If Yash comes to know all this in the Dubey's house, he will be angry about the lie, for sure … but will he then make it a matter to handle within himself and Aarti and her family, or will he find it necessary to involve his own parents in this matter?

3. After all the anger of Yash (about the lie) is over and he is able to take Aarti's point of view on board, will Yash and Aarti then form a team to straighten out Prashanth and his blackmail without the Scindias knowing about all this?

I love how G3 & boa's plan backfired on them as usual 😆

Waah! Jyo, What a title!! Since the past few episodes, it is Aarti who is having the last laugh... So fingers crossed for today too. 😉

Wow! That was one astonishing roller coaster ride! 😲

But first I absolutely must pay tribute to the Yash-Palak scene because it went exactly the way I needed it to. Aarti-Palak bonding possibilities were a minimum in such a situation, as I had said in the previous thread but it was time for Yash to wake up and take care of his daughter who was faltering in her self esteem and her security. And I kept saying that Yash needed to take a moment from his male bonding time with Ansh to deal with his daughter...and it literally happened. CVs, this means you are officially in my good books. Please keep intentionally or unintentionally doing exactly what I tell you. 😃

I also discussed how deeply I connected with Palak as a character and that being said I thought it was wonderful how Yash dealt with the situation and my inner-Palak (really my inner-six-year-old-Samana) was more than satiated with the fact that Yash brushed aside all the white noise and gently tackled his daughters fears and the resulting wrongdoings, all the while enveloping her in his loving and protective embrace. This was such a contrast to G/Maya who were simply using her to get to Aarti and making an unnecessarily big deal about her marks. No wonder the poor girl was scared to tell her father. But with one touch of warmth and attention from him, along with a logical explanation of why lying was not a good idea (loved that) Palak felt safe and loved again. I hope they show the effect of this incident and we see her not lying, the same way Ansh refused to fight because Aarti had told him not to. I also have to commend the step that Yash took when he constantly punctuated his little lecture with "mummy-papa." Finally, a long overdue effort from his side to integrate Aarti into PayPal's lives. I am sure that even this small gesture will make a huge difference. Yash is in my good books too, now. 😳

I also liked that Aarti strongly declared herself as their mother in front of Bua. It was Bua in the first place who had planted ideas about step mothers and so I am glad they showed a face off of the two forces in front of Palak's own eyes, where Aarti strongly claimed that she was their mother. It won't have immediate effect, but seeds will be sown in Palak's subconscious mind, I think. I also like the fact that while Aarti is more gentle and kind with Gayatri she was more sharp with Bua. The girl knows her enemies and how to deal with them.

I also liked the contrast they brought where, Yash-Ansh discourages Aarti from telling the truth while Yash-Palak encourages her to. Palak I think represents the last heart that must be conquered for Aarti to truly be part of her new life, and for that she has to tell the truth.

I am not going to talk much about the second part because it was pretty much just tension for me, but there was some interesting symbolism there. When I saw that twice, Yash's phone stopped him from knowing the truth it became apparent that he was not meant to because I couldn't help but think back to Cafe Delight, where neither of them had their phones. Aarti was not meant to tell him the truth because the truth itself had to build in a way that when he receives it, Aarti will play no part in its revelation, I think reflecting her own powerlessness and lack of agency in the whole course of events, from Prashant leaving her to the lie she was trapped in by Dubey Sr. I hope Yash will realise that she was just as powerless in losing Prashant as he was in losing Arpita. And even more powerless than Aarti, was Ansh. Now I see why all that YaNsh bonding was so key.

I also loved how Shobha defended Aarti to Prashant and said that this was her maika. Shobha is always a star! ⭐️ And though it might sound counter intuitive, the more awful Prashant got, the more excited I got because the more Yash is going to punch his face in...now maybe wit his pocket sized trainee in tow! 😉

I also really liked the symbolim of the whole locking-up-Prashant scenario. Aarti, though she is shocked to see Prashant and petrified of the confrontation, does not immediately move to hide Prashant. On the other hand, the Dubeys literally push him, kicking and screaming into the room with the rest of Aarti's memories, in order to hide him from Yash. And Yash wants to go into the room to get Aarti's baggage so he can put it in his car. He wants to carry her baggage, guys!!! 😳 And he will have to because judging by the way Aarti still crumbles in front of Prashant, Yash will have to do all the talking. Please stand by her and don't walk away! Please!

Aside: I am glad Paridhi is mad at Prateek. Everything is not okay and he should not be acting like it is. Yash told him that vishwas once broken is hard to regain and Prateek is living that reality. Good luck, Aarti! 😕

Hope to see Aarti having the last laugh as usual fingers crossed dont want to be disappointed.
