After so many days I got that old AB-wala feeling again. đ It could have been the fact that Krishna the BDO was finally in real action, it could have been the fact that they played the goosebump-inducing title song or it could have been that beautiful last scene where Krishna pours over the overflowing complaints in the box, getting emotional herself at the sufferings of others. I just loved it all.
And as though that wasn't good enough, Pintu was not able to concentrate on the honeymoon plans because of what BD had said to him about eating off of Krishna's earnings! Cherry on the cake I say! If they continue like this to mein bhi dekhti hoon ki TRPs kaise nahin badte!
And I even really liked the new track they have given Pinky. I think this could either be a really predictable way for her to meddle in Krishna's life or an excellent opportinity for redemption in her character. If she starts out just trying to get revenge against Krishna, but then slowly under Babloo's able guidance, becomes invested in her BDO dreams, heck if she even realises that becoming a BDO is the best way to get back at Krishna and so puts her mind to it, I think there are many interesting outcomes for this Pinky-Babloo angle. CVs, try not to mess it up! SS was really good in this scene! Her bechari-Pinky act was so well done!
BD was no more annoying than necessary and I liked that her exit was not hugely dramatic. I also liked how ridiculous this feudal figure looked in a government office, where she felt so entitled but discovered that she would be treated no better than anyone else. There was almost an affection for Krishna in her tone as though telling her to take care of herself when she told her to become fairer. It makes you feel pity and even laugh at the character because her world view is just so narrow, as highlighted by her awkward presence at the BDO office.
I loved it when Krishna pushed TTS' file away (her force has been increasing since the first time) and blasted Pyarelal! That will teach them that they can mess with her less than even TTS.
One highlight of the episode were definitely the fact that Krishna called those men home and had arranged the money for them, that too out of the Singh coiffers---err bank account. I was at first upset that they didn't get their justice but then I realised they had indulged in bribe and instead of having them arrested, Krishna chose to give them a chance to see what she is made of. And this, coupled with what she said to Pyarelal make it apparent that they all will soon come to realise that she has the real power, not TTS. At the end of the day he can throw around money but she can have him arrested in spite of that.
I like the way they started Ganga's wheels a whirring too, against TTS. She may not know the extent of his wrongdoing but Krishna's face and the full story of the thekedaars would have given her enough to read her husband.
The last scene was beautiful, I thought! I think Krishna was shocked to see how many complaints there really were. All this time her poverty and her struggle were the crux of the story and all of a sudden there was a shift and she is seeing so closely the suffering of others. Mitali's silent performance as she read all the letters was beautiful, her expressions alternating between determination, sadness, empathy and wonder.
The precap looks good and I am glad to see the story seems to be back on track for the time being. But with this show I know I shouldn't be too happy until we test the waters for a few episodes.
Fingers crossed! đ
