Periodically I see few people making the post for Gurmeet's look and then saying that oh he needs to be more like Maan...
I would like to say few things about that...
Hey I love Maan very much but tell you the truth when I look at Yash I do not see any trace of Maan..
As an actor he has done phenomenal work with this new character. He has not only changed his look but his attitude... his speech... his walk... his dressing style... but he was bold enough to take a character which was a bit older than his real age. I have known many actors who would never do a role of a father at their prime of his career and that is also a widower and going for the 2nd marriage.
and I absooutely love Gurmeet for such dedication as he does his job with perfection.. and it shows in his work... He is on a move with this project and he is doing the fabulous job and that is what counts..
But If some one is hanged on his look then his performance then they are welcome to do it..
If someone wants to cling to the look and persona of his previous projects then they are welcome to do..
I am sometimes surprise at people hung up on his role as Maan but I forget that some People are still hung up on his portrayal of Ram!!! So they do not want to move ahead with him but stay in the Past...
Yes Maan was an awesome role and people just loved him as the character was awesome with so much depth and layers and he did that wonderfully... fullfilling all the demands required by that role
But as a prefessional actor Gurmeet cannot stay in his past glory he has to break his own records and create a new history... He has to move on... While his past roles made him what he is now and gave him the popularity what he has now but he cannot stay there. So saluting those things and honoring them he has to move on. He cannot cling to any of his previous roles and not foucs on his future.. He has to climb the ladder and not fall back on the previous steps as he needs to progress and not be stagnant. Otherwise he will be there as he was 7 years before... a struggling star looking for work!!!
But I also know that everyone has there own preferences and choice.. but it does not mean you should not appreciate what Gurmeet does as an actor to make his present role alive with his sheer hard work.
His producers.. his directors... and the channel has full confidence on his ability as they grab him within a few days of his free status. So why not we should appreciate hiim as he wants us to see him as Yash and appreciate him and love and like him. and of course as we love him we cannot disappoint him. Even people who might not like him has to see his performance subjectively and see if he is doing well as Yash or not.
and the bottom line is that if you ask the actor who has done all these roles beautifully he says all his roles are equally important to him and he was the one who did it so he is all those different characters and people can call him by any of his characters as at the end of the day it is him Gurmeet the actor who played those roles..
And as I see it if you love him as Ram or Maan or Yash at the end of the day you are appreciating the actor Gurmeet and he loves you for that...
So my request to everyone Please stay in the present with Gurmeet and let's enjoy him as Yash as he will give everything in him to play this role.. and Infact he has already prove that he is doing phenomenal as Yash and the character is making place in our heart..
I have never seen Ramayan but what I have heard from friends he did wonderfully in that role but I have seen him as Maan and now as Yash.. and I am in love with both of them.. Though I missed him watching as Ram but his performance as Maan has made me love him and his talents. So I have followed him as Yash too.. I let me tell you and I have never regret it as I love him very much and may be some more and will follow him in whatever he does... and he knows that too lol...
Love to all eva

You are absolutely right Eva. Gurmeet is such a fabulous, talented and versatile actor that he becomes the character he is playing.
I loved him as Ram where he is the first actor who actually fit the part of Ram perfectly. I have seen lot of actors play the part of Ram, but always felt something missing with those actors and their portrayal of Ram. Gurmeet was perfect.
I loved him as Maan. Again he excelled in that part and made room in all our hearts.
Gurmeet in Punarvivaah is absolute perfection as Yash! I was doubtful of Kratika as Aarti in the beginning, but she is again another actor who becomes the part she is playing. Together they are fabulous.
Gurmeet is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed with you 100% Eva! I have never seen him as Ram either. Not only that When I first heard about PV and GC in it, thats the first time I heard about him and heard about Geet. To see him in action, I saw Geet in 6 days! That was very crazy of me to do it but no regrets. Loved him as Maan and Loving him as Yash. Kudos to him for taking a role older then his age and him not being a father, doing a fantastic job. Just love his acting and respect him for that...
