Dear Archana,

I am sorry for getting late with this response, but your meticulously assembled and argued post need some more thought before I said anything at all by way of comment on it.

I must begin by congratulating you on your very systematic approach while analyzing the immediate prospects in PR. I agree that it is safe to assume, your sources being so good, that the Purvi-Arjun issue will be 'resolved' by June; as to what that might imply/mean, more later.

It also seems reasonable to feel that once Ovi and Teju are away for a few days, Arjun might (just might) have a better chance of explaining himself to Purvi.

I do not think Archana is going anywhere; she will come back from the airport with Manav, and probably find Savita in possession. I agree that the impact of Savita's arrival on the scene will be felt all around, mostly of course on Manav and Archana, but also, in due course, on Purvi as well. Savita will be as vituperative as she can be, and Archana will never take the sensible step of bringing out the skeletons in Savita's closet in front of Manav. So Manav's confusion at the contrast between the way Archana behaves now, and what he thinks she did to him 18 years ago, will NOT be cleared up. Balaji does not like confusions of any kind to be resolved; they prefer to make confusion worse confounded.

To revert to the MU, what I have never been able to understand is this. We all talk incessantly of the need for the MU between Arjun and Purvi to be resolved, obviously thru actions taken by Arjun. But what precisely is this misunderstanding? I suppose it is that Purvi does not (or says she does not) believe Arjun's claims that he will sort everything out, and will tell Ovi, as soon as her legal troubles are over, that he cannot marry her. She feels, in short, that he has merely been stringing her along, all the while intending to marry Ovi (to what purpose is not clear, as he could hardly be expecting that Purvi would have an affair with him, but let that pass).

How can this be resolved, whether Ovi is around or not? Only by Arjun telling her the truth, face to face or long distance. What next?

It is not clear whether Purvi, when she berates Arjun for his reluctance to act, has thought this through, for she seems now to be concentrating on preventing Ovi from facing the truth. But does this mean that Purvi has written Arjun off for good ? Even if she thinks she must, this would be not so much because she thinks he is two timing her, but because she cares above all for Archana's happiness, and right now, this lies in Ovi being happy. It is like the story of the king whose soul was in a parrot. This means that Purvi will not be ready to grasp at her happiness (and Arjun's) at the cost of Ovi's and thus Archana's unhappiness.

So, there is here a dilemma that seems to be insoluble. And the same seems true of the MU as well. It is not just case of of Arjun having to 'screw his courage to the sticking point', to quote Lady Macbeth. He cannot stand by Purvi in the only possible way if she opposes it firmly. The decisive element in the near future is thus likely to be not what Arjun will do, but what Purvi will not let him do.

So, Ovi's being away is not going to get Arjun (and us) any further towards his goal. His Trishanku like situation will continue. I have no idea what Balaji's CVs have in mind for PR, but if the projected developments in BALH demonstrate one thing, it is that there is no folly to which they will not stoop. God save us all!

Shyamala

If you guys read the thread about the Mahasangam article...and the Balaji Telefilms clarification...I put 2 and 2 together from these sources. Now Ive been shocked and horrified at the craziness of the CVs as noone can predict their sense of reasoning in PR so I am going to try not to hope too much. But if these sources are correct: then this is my take and what I hope we are heading for:

On the official Balaji Telefilms website, there was a post by Balaji Telefilms that Varsha and Soham were to enter PR (I know we all know this)...with Soham to enter by mid-June and Varsha in July. There will be an official conference that Ekta is going to do soon: to announce the BALH leap (I guess this is another one of her shows- ive never watched it), and at the same time introduce the actor/character of Soham. The way they updated the news was as follows:
The much awaited varsha track to start from june, and new soham to enter mid july.Yes we Balaji Telefilms confirm Priya marathe coming back on board with Sagar Saikia as new soham. The track will come up with ongoing Purvi's track coming to an end by june.
Regards
Ekta Kapoor
Now of course this led to a barage of comments because people thought this meant Purvi or even ARVI all together was going to be done with the show. Because everyone was up in arms they had to post this clarification:
thnx for the concern.Purvi will still be there, however the issue of Purvi-arjun will be resolved by june..And then the much awaited varsha's track will be there
Now I can tell you guys this site is for real for sure. PR is not the focus of this site. All the other shows and movies and press releases are discussed there. And the way the updates are written are matter of fact and to the point- no embellishments or extra stuff.
Next week is the last week of May and the first week of June. This month has been pure torture for ARVI fans- not a ray of sunshine in site. Coming to the article: here is the way everything is being lined up.
1) Savita is arriving to India- god help us. But you know what? This is actually going to be a blessing in disguise for ARVI. As stated on FB, Arjun/Purvi misunderstanding will be resolved "the issues of Purvi-Arjun will be resolved by June"...this doesnt mean they are going to get married and ride off into the sunset. I think this is merely stating that the MU will clear up by then. Savita arriving means she can create some great drama in their lives so they dont have to drag the MU out and keep subjecting us to the present situation.
2) Ovi and Teju are leaving on Monday for Goa on a holiday. (this makes perfect sense- this way Savita will not immediately find out that Ovi/Teju know Archana, have spent time with her, and Teju is actually living with her) Them being gone draws this storyline out.
For us ARVIans this means No more Ovi and no more ugly PDA scenes!!!!! Means we get at least one or 2 episodes Ovi free (I hope its the whole week- but knowing the CVs this may be too much to ask)
3) Obviously Ovi/Teju gone, and Archana also going somewhere apparently (she is going to be at the airport at the same time Savita lands since she is boarding a flight too- not sure for where)...giving Purvi and Arjun some much needed time in Mumbai by themselves to try to sort things out without the danger of Ovi dropping by or turning up somewhere.
Next week is June...so I am hoping that if these sources are correct (and I think they are) we are at least going to see the MU between Arjun/Purvi clear and them come together. It will not be the end though: with Savita there, Varsha/Soham entering, and all the potential drama and chaos, I dont think the actual marriage is on the cards for Arjun/Purvi just yet.
But for us thats ok: we want to see the MU between them clear, I want my "son" to buck up and brace himself and stand for the woman he loves, and see some sweet ARVI scenes so we can bring the magic back. Shyamala hit on a very wise point some time back. Sometimes it is easier to brace ourselves and find our courage when the person is not right in front of our face. In Arjun's case, sending Ovi out of the picture will give him some much needed space, and I hope a chance to think things through clearly and summon up his strength/courage.
