Short Update:
The Tiwaris, Krish and Billu put a lock on Pooja's house, turn off the lights and hide while Arti goes to find Dev Tripathi. Dev comes there in the meantime and he finds the house locked and leaves. Rangoli is happy that the Tiwaris bowed down to the threats but BBP is unconvinced.
(Actually, I didn't see the above part but from the later bits, this is what I was able to piece together.)
Dev comes home to find Arti waiting for him. She's not impressed by his alcoholism and he's not impressed by her tearful attempt to get him to do his work. He says she thought she must an extraordinary woman to bring a CM to his knees but she folds her hand in front of him and says she's just an ordinary girl who gets scared and weeps when she sees the ones she loves in trouble. She tells him about all the intimidation tactics used against her and her family.
Govind Shankar and his flunkies arrive in plain clothes, find the house locked, and break down the door. Sumitra, Harivansh, Krish and Billu try to hide but obviously it doesn't work and they're soon found out. GS and his men share a good laugh about it and then do some desi version of Russian roulette where they line them up and pretend to shoot them.
Suddenly a real shot rings out, the lights come on and Arti is standing at the door with Dev. Dev ticks GS off, grabs his gun, hands it to Arti and tells her to shoot. The Tiwaris are shocked but Arti takes it and points it at GS. GS bluffs that this is all Dev's idea of a joke and tries to hide behind Sumitra but Dev says Arti has the right to self defense when her home is invaded without a warrant, and then says since it's GS' gun, Arti can shoot GS and then Dev can make out a case of suicide. GS' nerve breaks and he begs Dev's pardon. Dev makes him apologize to the Tiwaris before warning him and telling him to leave. Dev tells the Tiwaris that he will protect them and they don't need to worry any more.
Rangoli finds out about the Tiwaris being in town and she wonders if BBP already knew about it. BBP gets angry, raises his voice and tells her to go to her room and decide first whether she trusts him or not and says he's already angry at the way Dev treated GS. He calls Shukla and tells him to invite Dev to an elaborate lunch with a full bar. He is shocked and a little amused when Shukla says Dev refused the invite and told BBP to show up at the police station.
Arti is at the police station when BBP arrives in full style. The two of them exchange taunts once more and BBP reminds her that he hasn't actually used his full power against her yet. Dev orders Shukla to stay outside and tells BBP he will have to take a DNA test or explain to the media why not. BBP doesn't like Dev's manner but eventually agrees to take the blood test. Shukla offers to "handle" Dev but BBP says he want to know whether Dev is acting like this because he is a fool or if he is acting on someone's orders.
A happy Arti congratulates Dev on his working style and is delighted that BBP agreed to a DNA test. Dev is amazed at what an idiot she is and says all the DNA test will prove is that Pooja's baby was fathered by BBP. Arti says that gives him motive. Dev says a motive is secondary, proof comes first. Anyone can make any motive - they will say Harivansh couldn't stand his daughter's illegal relations with a married man so he shot Pooja, or Arti was jealous so she shot Pooja. Arti gets angry but realizes that for the first time in a long time there is someone here who is offering to take the lead instead of making her do all the work and expresses her faith in him. He tells her to go home and that he's sending his men with her and she thanks him.
GS and his men show up at the Tiwari house again and this time on some trumped up search warrant and begin to harass Harivansh. The neighbors gather outside as GS says things about their family, sends his men into Pooja's room and then sends his flunky to strip search Harivansh. Harivansh says he will take his clothes off himself and GS has the constable film the whole thing and laughs. He then tells Harivansh that if Arti continues in her ways then someday he will strip her of her clothes as well and that day will be in private without any cameras.
Harivansh loses his temper and slaps GS across the face. GS gets mad and pulls out his gun. Harivansh looks him back in the eye without fear.
Precap: Some woman offers the CBI contingent money and Dev orders his junior to take pictures. He tells the woman she's under arrest and says he's the CBI. He tells Arti that BBP will soon be under arrest and she's so happy she offers to shake his hand. He takes a long moment but finally shakes her hand. She is radiantly happy and he looks affected by her. 😳
