really wanted to know everyone's POV😊 by the way this thread is not for bashing, I myself am an Ashar fan, however some of his actions in the story of Humsafar cannot be denied

He was a typical Mard, of our society, i wouldnt really use a degraded disgraceful word like Jerk for a mature guy like Asher, but he was definitely a Pakistani Man, a typical one at that, who loved his wife, but trusted his eyes and his mom, which any sane pakistani would do, They dont really literally go Blind in Love you know, And plus, leave alone being a Pakistani Mard, anyone, any sane person would believe what he sees from his eye... ANYONE... me and you too!
And then, i say he was a typical pakistani man, also because, he had started holding a grudge on Khizer WAYYY before anything happened, he started with those weird looks WAYY before Khizer actually played his trump card. The "Shakki" personality is basii hui in Pakistan i feel.
So, it was annoying how he started hating Khizer before hand, and YES Khizer was SO annoying, mujhe aapke haath ka soup bauhat acha lagta hai, actually mujhe isse pata nahi tha aapka blood group bhi O- hai, woh toh jab inho ne mujhe accident k baad blood diya, tab pata chala k inse itni apnaaiyyat kyun mehsoos hoti thi...
^LAME.
Khizer was a total DASH
and Asher acted up very typically,
Where i REALLY hated him was when he did not respond to Khirad's call and everything. That;s just plain stupid, I can justify all his actions except for this! This was ridiculous, she is crying on the fone... and if he hates her now, Kabhi tou he loved her... he shouldve atleast listened to what she was saying, and THINK WHYYY would she call HIM when she ran away with her LOVER?! -_- LAME of Asher in that sense, so thats the only thing that actually got to me when it came to Asher, otherwise not really. And even this... i think, was just his mere reaction, shows how much he was hurt.

No way, he was not a jerk!!He is a typical Asian man who always remains a Mamma's boy and would in time have converted to a joru ka gulaam too :) At the point in time, he trusted his mother most of all. Plus, he has work and so can't be expected to listen to and keep up with the subtle politics that was being played in his house.

If he were a total jerk he would have married again (after all his cousin was hankering after him)

Yes, I would have wanted to see him repent more but the ending leaves that to imagination

Well I am a romantic at heart and so believe it did. Khirad knows that Ashar is not a bad man and he loves his mother a lot. In the end, he did tell off his mother when she tried to poison his mind again. Plus he accepted their child without any condition and before he heard the truth about his mother. All that can help mend her heart but yes she will not go back to being the completely trusting naive girl again. However, this time with love and care, there will be respect as well

What do you think?

I don't know,it is upsetting to see that their honeymoon period ended so soon, Khirad became much more mature, and they also have a kid, I dunno if things went back to being as romantic and amazing, wish their honeymoon period did not end so quickly! I am sure Khirad forgave him, and they did live happily ever after, but dunno if things went back to being as amazing
