I think he never doubted his mother one bit..he came back home to hear from Khirad..but when he did not find her..he basically let her go..he felt that her leaving without giving any justification meant that she has done something wrong..he should have tried to understand what was really going on...but trusted his mother blindly..his character did redeem himself though when he accpeted his child..and when he asked Khirad to come back..even though he was not sure of her innocence...he loved her way to much..plus was extremely insecure...which means he lost the ability to think straight..when he saw everything😕...the mother was such a witch! I love the dialogue 'main Khirad se baat karna chatha hoon, aap beech mein bilkul nahin bolegi, agar uuski baat mein sachai nahin nikli tau main apne haatho se uuse marduga' LOL I know that the dialogue is kinda scary and daunting, but it also shows that he loved her way too intensely! One thing I do not understand is why did the mother do this?? she did not even think to get her son married again, neither did Ashar fully move on, so basically everyone was happy living a bad life?? and no one forced them to fix it up?? no one bothered to actually sort things out or move on fully? I find that kind of weird! anyway this is a show, the mother-in-law's character cannot be understood by me! I also do not understand why Ashar did not try and hear Khirad's side of the story, epsecially when a poor old lady called him! I understand he was in pain and all, but still!! I think in his inner-heart he knew Khirad was innocent, but he just did not have the courage to be proven wrong!

anyway, the show was depressing! There was a time when Khirad could not even digest Ashar's silence, and later the same woman could not give two hoots about him! so I guess Ashar was at fault! he broke his poor wife's trust, I hate when other people can be held responsible for a marriage to break, it just makes the script of the show unrealistic and depressing!! and it just makes you lose faith in true love! in reality a marriage breaks because of the two people involved only!
