Jay, this is a great post. While I don't agree with everything you have said, I love the way you have presented your facts in a cogent and systematic manner.
Actually I agree with most of what you said. My major grouse with the way Kunal's character has been handled is that all he is doing in the whole matter is handing out vitamins to his wife😕 When she was insisting that she had not misunderstood what she saw, instead of warning her he should have questioned her further and listened to what she had to say and just for the sake of his wife's word, investigated it further at least once. Rather than saying sorry to Gaurav for her actions and then asking her not to repeat it like she is his 4 year old daughter😕
well if you remember, Kunal did give Siddhi one chance to clear up all her misunderstanding (according to all). When Siddhi insisted that what she was right and Gaurav should call lollypop girl. That time it was Kunal who tells Gaurav to call that girl, otherwise Siddhi would keep thinking about it and it may affect her health. even though Kunal believed Gaurav (since he did great job), he only told Gaurav to call lollypop girl for Siddhi. Even when they were waiting for lolyypop to come, Kunal wanted to get out but because Sidhhi asked him, he stayed.
And about him avoiding the talk and going on about vitamins seems right approach to me. Kunal sure trusts Siddhi, but couldn't believe her conclusion about Gaurav's EMA. Kunal of course did not want to tell her that she has jumped the gun and she was wrong in doing so, so best way is to avoid such confrontation and shift focus on Siddhi's health. if that was old Kunal, he would start by yelling at Siddhi and blame her for stupidity. But given their love and trust, Kunal agreed that Siddhi did see Gaurva, but just misunderstood and it was ok. So no big deal, let's just move on from this and focus on what's important, Siddhi's well-being.
