A friend of this paper was eating out at Urban Tadka on Friday night, when she noticed Ram Gopal Varma having dinner with his new find, Jiah Khan.

She was dressed in a transparent skirt and Ram, of course, was his usual staid self.

Baby Khan sipped on coconut water and listened to her director with a enraptured expression on her face. The dinner ended at 11.30 pm and the duo stepped out.

Our lensman tried to shoot them together, but Ramu kicked up a fuss. His bodyguard swung into action and made sure that his saab and the protge made a quick exit.

Why the secrecy, Ramu? It was only dinner.... right?

Salad days

We spotted Ayesha Takia over the weekend tucking into a meal at beau Farhan Azmi's restaurant in Bandra.

Just when we thought she must be enjoying herself ordering all that took her fancy on the menu, we were surprised to see only salads on her plate.

Ayesha did not touch anything else, steadfastly sticking to the greens. After receiving flak for her flab in her last flick, we understand her taking to veggies with a vengence. Can't help being extra careful, huh?

Kumkum: Four years on

Kumkum completed four years on Saturday with a small bash on the sets at Saki Naka. The cast and crew, along with producer Anurradha Prasad, had a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion.

With over 800 episodes, this afternoon show by BAG Films on Star Plus now has the second generation in focus. Juhi Parmar, who plays the title role, has steadfastly stuck to this show all these years. Guess it will go on and on till the 1,000th episode.
