I don't know but I am not so happy with the decision of Barun doing Bollywood right now. I would have been if he took this decision after his show is over.It was said that he will not leave the show and he will manage his time doing both together but I think the show may suffer as he will not be able to give full 100% . This soap schedules are very tough besides it was seen by everyone of us that he look very exhausted and tired. The usage of BDs jst detoriates the quality, magic and charm of the show.If PH opted for a replacement then it would be very pathetic for us to watch the show as we will never imagine anyone else as ASR other than Barun.. In the past also same thing happens like in kahin to hoga when Rajeev khandelwal leaves the show and went for a replacement the storyline changed and the serial turned into a crap. I really hated to see my beloved serial turning into such an disaster. This serials are all based on team work if anyone changed or something like other the whole thing suffered no matter other actors may do lot of good acting but the charm is lost and if that happens with lead actors the charm will be completely gone. The character of ASR is a multidimensional character. This type of lead characters can not be seen so easily neither in films and in serials. Last time I enjoy the character of Ranbir Kapoor in Rajneeti it was somewhat a multidimensional... Barun had done justice to this character. So it will be really pathetic to see someone in his shoes. Comparisons are bound to happen and that IPK magic I fear will be lost .It is because of Arshi that makes IPk so popular not only natonally but also internationally too.

Oh With all due respect to your POV, I am very happy for Barun. He has full rights to grow big in his acting career and opportunities are fickle by nature, if you don't grab them with both hands at the right time, they might just slip away...

I say good for him!! He should go right ahead and continue to grow and progess - GO BARUN!!!

Let's be frank, just because Barun is doing one movie does not mean he is going to leave us and join Bollywood. It means he is expanding his horizons, and as an actor he should experiment and do things that he wants to dabble in. Plus, he is smart enough to know that breaking into Bollywood is a lot harder than doing television. There are a lot more politics, and other things involved.

I don't know why people are having such a hard time with this!?! 😕 People can hold more than 1 position or have dual careers if they like. If an opportunity presents itself, why should he let that pass him by and wait another 2 years!?! This is his career and he has to do what he feels is best. Also, the posts I have been reading here on the forum make it seem like he's cast as a lead actor in a Bollywood film and will forget about his day job...seems a bit ridiculous b/c he is playing a small role in a film to get his feet wet. He obviously wants to break into Bollywood and what a perfect opportunity to work for/with one of the most creative men (Aamir Khan) that Bollywood has ever seen.

Barun Sobti is an extremely professional and talented actor, his busy lifestyle has never affected his portrayal of ASR, he has the right to do advance in his career. There are many Bollywood actors juggling various projects at once. It's commendable that Barun has taken this opportunity, he deserves it.

I respect Barun's decision but to me if he had waited for 2 yrs it would have been better. He would have devoted time more in films as Ipk would have also be off air because this Ph does not run serials for long.After all it is this serial that gave him so much fame , recognition not only in India but also in foreign countries also.
