Because its a family oriented drama with little children involved fully in it they are concentrating on the mundane things of day to day life and bringing out the humourous side of things - sort of a light comedy - which Gurmeet is acting out very well. Gurmeet said in one of his interviews that this show is different and it is. He looked comfortable in Rangmunch interview so just enjoy the show.

It's a part of the show...
plus ... we should be proud of him that he's carrying off the scenes with so much grace...
if it wud hv been sum1 else.. it wud hv been humiliating...

n with the bathroom scene... he ws just embarrassed bout dat... lolzz... bcz shooting in washroom... lolzzz...
but then again he carried it off brilliantly... 😃

ya it's true. GC can act in comedy way too. he is really versatile actor.ya his acting part is really different from other characters.
