Watching JJKN for the past two years,we have raved and ranted about the character, Armaan Suri. We have seen Armaan in various moods, oscillating from one extreme to another. He is half-devil, half-saint, with absolutely no middle ground. It is this intriguing characterization of Armaan, that probably has attracted and fascinated us viewers.Looking back and remembering, am listing down a few of my favourite Armaan images...
His Casanova image:
This was the way he was introduced, as an impossible flirt. With just a glance, he had his way with women and had them come running to him at his beck and call. Blessed with his natural good looks, the mischievous grin and the flirtatious twinkle in his eyes, he sure had many women falling for him hard. Well, i sure did..
His friendship with Raj:
Among the many grey shades Armaan had to portray during the initial stages, this was one endearing aspect. The friendship between him and Raj was like a whiff of freah air, providing comical relief to us viewers. He and Raj complimented each other so well and their interactions and cheeky conversations were just bang-on.
His arrogance:
Armaan, the character, had total and complete conviction that he had everything that any man would hope and dream of- fame, power, money and women. That artificial and illusionary world he lived in, made him arrogant and totally unsympathetic to the feelings of others. Not a very likeable image in my books...
His heartless attitude:
Man, i just hated him here. The way he cruelly played with jassi's feelings, using her blind adoration for him to achieve his aim- save Gulmohur, was simply too difficult to digest. The way he ruthlessly turned a blind eye to her sensitive nature and exhibited a callous attitude, showed him in a very poor light- i was just not able to identify with his negativeness.
His sensitive image:
Wow! i just loved the manner in which he reached out to jassi's pain, on her betrayal by Samir, at Raj's place. The hug they shared was so heart-warming. A hesitant but sure step towards "a sensitive man".
His vulnerable, lost-boy facet:
The way he broke down on hearing about the fire-accident at gulmohur, made me want to reach out and give him a comforting hug and lend a sympathetic shoulder to lean on. A sensitive boy in a grown man- killer combination..
The confused, unsure Armaan:
Armaan looked so adorable when he was confused about his feelings for jassi. To see him, the arrogan attitude 'Armaan Suri', so confused and trying to make sense out of the complicated emotions surging through him, made him look so appealing and endearing. Armann showed that there are many facets to his complex personality.
The passionate, green with envy Armaan:
This is one of my personal favourites.Apoorva acted out the part of a jealous lover with such passion and conviction that i doubted whether it was plain acting afterall.
Armaan, the character, went to extreme extents, which only a man blinded by love would do. The fight with nandu, him talking to the chair in jassi's room-totally sloshed out,the nigar khan episode where he breaks the glass with fury, the scene outside Octaviour(absolutely stunning), where he declares his love with such passion and intensity, just glorious...
The perfect son-in-law image:
The way he was willing to give up everything and do anything to support jassi's family in her absence..wow...any woman would love to have such a man in her life, a man who cares both for her and her family with all his heart and soul..
The dream lover image:
And finally, the sensitive and passionate lover. Two whole weeks of romancing- they were just awesome!!
Tham Ja, ye kya huwa, amritsar, tu meri jaan, chuliya hai tumne.........both passionate and tender.
And it has been a smooth and gradual makeover for Armaan Suri, from the callous flirt to the sensitive lover and human-being. He has come quite a long way....

Well , these are some of many personal favourites. Guys, do comment on your personal, favourite Armaan image and include any of your own............

Wow!! Enigma that was awesome. I really liked the Armaan in all those phases..👏

I agree with you completely... The cassinova Armaan was awesome but we could see Apurva's excellent performances after the fire.. He looked totally devastated at that time..

I loved the jealous Armaan in the love game, confused Armaan after realizing his true feelings for his Jassi, the love confession outside octaviour was the best episode of JJKN. Armaan's realization of his love for Jassi was priceless.

The passionate lover Armaan the grabbing, the hugging as if he had every right over his Jassi, the angry Armaan the episode he beats up Nandu and gets slapped by Jassi.

The dreadful meeting and the changed Armaan who became a better person and actually took responsiblity for his actions. I admire his guts to fess up for all his mistakes. It takes a lot of courage to do it.

The devdas Armaan and the pain and suffering he went thru for his Jassi. The sensitive changed Armaan who was desperate to find out where his Jassi was.

And the dream lover Armaan was just fabulous..

Hats off to Apurva Agnihotri for portraying such a difficult character....

The change in him was shown gradual and his charater well thought and we should thank the makers for that.
