Hi Sush,

Thanks for opening this post and giving some food for thoughts on a otherwise boring weekend😊

I was expecting marriage as well because of all the symbolism and also because knowing Arnav he would want things to be in his control, in this case Khushi and Shyam both. And from his POV, it would be possible if both are infront of him. If he had made Khushi leave RM or Delhi, Shyam could have followed her giving the tour excuse. So it made logical sense that he married Khushi and kept her as prisoner. What I had expected and didnt happen was a intense love hate track in the period they are together. Both feeling irresistibly attracted towards each other and fighting each other...both trying to intensely hate together but couldnt help falling in love each other all over again. And both not realising when there acting ended in front of others and the real feelings surfaced. High time that Khushi needs to realize her feelings for Arnav.Agree with you that Khushi's wardrobe and hairstyle is helping the cause at all. She is working now and earning some money, least they can show is she buying some simple sarees and get some sexy blouses made for herself😊

What a lovely day today...Have been out all day...gave a nice wash to my car...vacuumed it inside and out...The black baby shines like it is supposed to!! Feeling good about that...!!

Unfortunately have not seen any of MR movies...or any south Indian laguage movies at all...Don't follow the languages...But from what I hear he must be a good director...My current favorite and has been for some time are Mr. Frahan Akhtar ...Loved Dil chahta hei...Rock On was good too.

Veep (nice choice of name...😉)...I think we both want the same thing and that is as far from Didi ki Saut as one can imagine...😃😃😃 Oh...one more thing about the conversation with my mom this morning...I told her that kow she likes Khushi but it is the guy playing Barun who is getting more awards and being recognized even more...and she goes...

Yeah that BOY...he seems very young...probably about 25-26(yrs) no more...but he acts like a BIG guy with all his anger...good acting!!😆😆😆😆😆 Isn't she the cutest...😊

Opened some posts on the "in depth" analysis...of the story and symbolism...I haveto tell...you...if the directors were thinking that deeply...no one would be complaining ...😆😆😆😆😆😆

Zu...loved your take...yes...Arnies feelings part is done well...but do you remember how much complaining it took for them to ge out of that internal turmoil but do nothing kind of portrayal for his character that they had earlier when she was made to sleep outside? Visi...different take than others which makes your POV always interesting to read...I agree with your interpretation...but I think Khushis character just won't try to end the marriage because ARnie is being harsh with his words...she has known him for almost a year before...she was falling in love with him...he has helped her sis and made her marriage possible, he has helped her with he babujis hospital bills...she should sense that there is more to it than meets the eye...running out fom a problem you can't make sense of is not KHushi...tha where they failed to develop her character...

@Khusifan I fully agree that MU stretching is NOT working...I would have worked if I was just in background based on that one terrace scene and there were progress even by mini steps...observations here and there, things that dont add up...as Zu put it...what is absolutely frustrating the viewers is that the have gone the way of adding more fodder to the MU...by that recent Shyam touching Khushis hands scene...Shyamu is now sexually harassing KHushi...and ARnie is just not making any progress towards protecting her...imagine the disappointment of viewers who saw a nanitaal ARnie and loved him

Haha, my point exactly, married people do dress up, just more "conservatively", well in some families and Khushi seems to be following that perhaps. But, I do believe they're going for the mature lady look, because they've given Payaal saris and not her because she's relatively younger right?.
Anywho, I was watching the 200th episode again and I loved her look in that, the hair looked nice and the sari did too, it looked very decent... I wouldn't mind that look sometimes.
Honestly though, I can bear her clothes more than Barun's hair... the CVs really need to watch the July and Jan episodes!! Less is more, his makeup artist really needs to preach on that, the gel is driving me nuts! lol

Back in town. Just cannot keep away from IF & IPK. What can I say , it must be true love.

The Mani Ratnam movie that is being talked about Maoun Raggam even I have seen it many years ago as some of my friends recommended it. I do not understand the language but manged with subtitles. It was a sensitively made movie. The characters of IPK & that movie a way different and so are the curcumstances. What is being compared is the idea of falling in love after marraige. Which I think happens for most cases in India with arranged marraiges.

I agree with Ragini that the show before marriage and the one after is like completly different . I have had my sis ( who mocks me incessently on watching a desi show ) watch a few recent episodes giving her a brief desciption of the plot which she thinks is total Mills & Boon. Being younger she thinks she is smarter and I a romantic idiot. Anyway...

I was keen to take her take for the past weeks episode coz I keep saying that the show has lost intensity. For a new comer as her I was surprised that she does not think it lacks intensity ( I joked then you have not seen the ones before the wedding ) thoug she was totally blown away with teh Teri-Meri clip..

Accodring to her the "swami" episode was very entertaining and totally to rile him up and he deserved if after misbehaving with her after Heer - Ranjha and the "lying" to Khushi on Friday was yet agian his self defence back in play as he does not want to give in to this girl yet when his dear sister has. It s easier to deal with her when they both are in conflict.

I found the take refreshing ...and it made me a bit hopeful for the fututre. Maybe I have too many expectations attched to ArHI and as to how the story should progress. The cvs CANNOT be olivious to the fact that more is expeced of them . It is their business so I will let them handle it but will NOT stop in my constructive crticism.

I still enjoy IPK and being with all the girls... the day it becomes a burden I will stop.

sush a great topic. i still belive that ASR is a great character and well acted by Barun so he deserves and picks award. Sanaya is bundle of talent but when it comes to kushi though character is happy go lucky is not consistent in most of the time . And male character always has woman viewers following more and daily soaps are more watched by women 😆 i wish sanaya gets more awards for her acting so perfectly whether in comedy or sad scenes or in OTT scenes.

about marriage i guess it was required as its SP show. none of other Nissar shows had married leads ofcourse other than Geet.
Star plus is a family channel so definitely a married lead .

I actually feel bad for CVs as keeping a love story intrigued and interesting continously is not an easy task. with so much of competition indeed they are doing good.

I wish for a more tightened script sigh looks like its not correct to ask for a daily soap to have a tighte script

Hi Sush and All,
Great topic and fantastic discussion by all. I totally agree with everything most have said.
I knew it would be a contract marriage something where circumstances bring them together and then it would be a gradual growth of love, trust and respect. I was prepared for the whole hate angle because that in essence is the crux of the story.
What i was not prepared for for the inconsistency in script, the jumping of emotions on a daily basis and the butchering of Khushi's character. I think ASR has been maintained very well for the most part and his emotions come through because of consistency. Khushi on the other hand has been subject to a ping pong effect which is why it is becoming difficult to connect with her at times. I really wish they maintained the continuous flow and intensity the track called for.
I also think a big reason why so many of us are disappointed with the marriage track is because we expect the story to progress a certain way, we want a fixed timeline and wish to see things as we think should be shown. Last year we watched with less expectations and went with the flow of where the CV's took us, this year each one of us has a criteria of what we want to see and get disappointed when other crap is dished out! Also i think over analysis of episodes, interviews, articles is kind of killing the show, i spoke with a bunch of my friends who watch it in India just for fun and they still love it😆😆.
Also many are disappointed with the hate angle, but from the beginning this show was touted as a "nafrat bhari prem kahani" so i get that but i would like to see the story move and some progress with the MU at this stage. There will be many more instances where the tension can come back into their relationship, now it needs to move ahead to something more positive!

Hi Ratna, Meens and Sharu...Yes...many many expecations and certainly a lot of analysis...= recipe for disappointment and making it impossible for the CVs to come out shining... If there is one thing everyone wants ...It is

FOR THE (LOVE) STORY TO PROGRESS...plain and simple...😃😃😃😃 ...
