Rani considered the reason for Aditya Chopra's divorce from wife
Aditya Chopra hails from one of the most well-known production houses in the film industry. The Chopra productions have a big name in the industry and when something as big as a divorce occurs in the family, the news tends to spread like wildfire. Aditya Chopra who is the son of Yash Chopra made a mark in the film industry with his film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Adi is known to be a workaholic and a powerful negotiator but he has always stayed away from the social scene. There has been talk of trouble in Adi's marriage since the last one year, however now according to sources the couple will officially divorce.
Adi who married Payal Khanna five years ago was keen on a divorce. According to sources the reason for his wanting a divorce is the presence of another woman in his life. Sources claim that this other woman is none other than actress Rani Mukherjee. Adi and Payal were childhood friends and decided to tie the knot after their families who are good friends suggested it. Payal comes from a business family and she too prefers to stay away from the glam world. Payal is an interior designer and has also been closely involved in designing the Yash-Raj studios recently in Andheri. After the divorce comes through Payal will receive a huge amount as alimony, but this does not bother Adi as he wants to get the matter over and done with as quickly as possible.
According to sources "Rani has done several films for Adi's banner and this is when their relationship started developing. Adi also gives the actress advice on how to handle her career. He helps her decide which films she should do and which she should not." Rani has done several of her successful films like Veer-Zara, Bunty Aur Babli and Hum Tum with Yash-Raj films. Rumours of the two having an affair have been circulating in the industry for quite a while now.
However Adi's parents, Yash and Pamela are very unhappy about their son's decision to divorce Payal, but Adi is determined. Adi is currently not living in the family home with Payal; he is staying at a five-star hotel. He is also busy with traveling for location hunting for his upcoming films. Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan are slated to act in a Yash Raj film to be directed by Siddharth Anand. Yash Raj film Fanaa has done quite well in spite of the several controversies surrounding the film and its lead. Yash Raj Films are now gearing up for their next release Dhoom 2.
