Shamsher is a wonderful character. I would say who ever had created the Shamsher character in Face off did a superb job.

From the face off case - I would say he is a realistic person. He was right when he asked to shoot ACP.

From his point of view ACP, who had so much of confidential information was actually supporting an international criminal and such a person even after he comes out of jail would be a huge danger.

Daya and Abhijeet hate him because they were emotionally attached to ACP and in such situations people who talk facts always look like a villain.

When we look at the recent shamsher, the realistic thinking part still exists and even now they make him look like a villain, but along with that they make him look like a fool too just because a dominating role of Shamsher would mean that Abhijeet and Daya would lose out on the fight.

Shamsher is ruthless and realistic character. Making him look heartless is right but making him look foolish is wrong.

First of all nice discussions & views by others & thanx Visrom for opening this thread...actually when i saw this thread i realized that we didn't discuss so much before about him...

Shamser Singh...of course he is DGP...when the character created first by his creator it must remain same or promoted but this time FW CVs did a blunder (at least for me) as he demoted to DCP 👎🏼

Now the character...i think its the most typical character among all in the history of CID...

According to me Shamsher is person afraid of taking risk by himself so get all work done by juniors. He heavily relies on other to get task done. He is person who has little or no respect for sentiments. He will never admit his mistake. He lives in present (Other person's past acts or achievements doesn't effect him at all).

I think he doesn't think in depth rather what he can see in surrounding believe in that & taken decision on that only ...He doesn't want to believe that some junior officer can be better than him otherwise he doesn't taunt to ACP sir or duo...

I like this character and he's a person who's able to take tough decisions in those circumstances when they're actually needed. He doesn't value sentiments and believes in present situations rather than focusing on past activities. Daya and Abhijeet hate him because Acp sir means a lot to them and he ordered them to shoot him.

hmmm... shamsher... a nice character if u ask me... 😆
