SHAMSHER - YOUR VIEWS PLEASE

As per i know..SHAMSHER is a DCP..he always cares for only himself...his views are that one should work in CID only to profit themselves...

Even I am confused about his post. So cant say anything. I think as per the recent info, he musr be DCP.
According to what they portray him like, I think Shamsher is a dictator. He might have acquired his post by some dishonest means given his statement that he has never fired and he doesnt like the sound of bullets. That might be the reason why Daya and Abhijeet hate him so much. And I dont think he is very efficient. Because I've never heard ACP praising him or saying something good about him. Because ACP has the quality of praising a really efficient person even if he has any personal issues with the person. We've heard him say many times, ''Salunkhe tedha aadmi zaroor hai par hai bohot kaam ka.'' But we've never heard something of this sort about Shamsher.
Also he doesnt seem to be caring about his team like our ACP sir. He just needs the results and doesnt seem to be appreciating the qualities of the team. He conciders that its their duty and theres nothing great in it. Although somewhere inside, he knows that the CID team is more efficient and he might be secretly jelous about it. This might be the reason of his strict behaviour towards them.
I cant comment anything about his loyalty to CID. Because although he gives really hard time to CID team, they have never shown him indulging in any criminal acts. So I think he might not be a person who can be a traitor.

I have rather mixed views on Shamsher's character as of now.

Regarding his post, I guess the discrepancy is rather due to carelessness on the CVs part, but we can reconcile canon by guessing that he was demoted due to some reason (I've implemented this point in the story I'm currently working on 😉 ). His characterization has been more of a curiosity - in the Face Off/Trail In London series, I got a feeling that he's a somewhat insecure person who is well aware of the fact that his subordinates are, in fact, much sharper and talented than him and as such harboured some sort of jealous grudge against them. But despite this, I wouldn't say that the man would've ever went out of his way to cause them intentional harm. Most of the points he made against the ACP to Abhi-Daya, while certainly having some undercurrent of vitriol, were also logical and sensible to a good extent. His attempt to tempt Abhijeet could, though, be interpreted in both ways. I'm not sure of what to make of his last "har goli pe mera naam" dialogue.

In the recent "Lapata Bacche Ka" episode, he was portrayed more as a cynical prick who enjoyed humiliating and lambasting the team at expense of their temporary weaknesses. If they wished to have his character reconciled with the previous avatar, this should've been greatly toned down and limited to a professional clash. He's certainly an exceptionally cold rationalist, a bit too much so, as clearly demonstrated by his reaction towards the team's feelings for the baby. I'd say the DIG of the Face Off series would've discouraged them the same way, but not crossed the line and taunted his subordinates to that extent. That said, I'll personally wager for the side that he would not betray his department or let himself be bought by the enemy's blood money. He does seem to believe in extreme impersonal professionalism when it comes to the police, along with a dash of insecurity and envy to the mix. A person may be a total twerp in their behaviour, but that doesn't necessarily mean that their loyalty and morality can immediately be judged to be contingent upon that. It does show, however, that he isn't really the type to have a face-to-face with.

About his post, he was DIG recently demoted to DCP (CVs mistake or demoted due to some reason). Hopefully he doesn't demoted further 😛.

According to me Shamsher is person afraid of taking risk by himself so get all work done by juniors. He heavily relies on other to get task done. He is person who has little or no respect for sentiments. This type of person is useful in very critical situation to take decision. He is person who will keep reminding others of his/her duties only (no personal front). He will never admit his mistake. He lives in present (Other person's past acts or achievements doesn't effect him at all).

He is person who can be verbally very harsh due to which people may dislike him but his actions are not that harsh.
