Ahem looked at Gopi with questioning looks as to what the whole chaos was about. He recognized her presence and not the laddu that Rashi had brought as he didn't have any apprehension that Gopi had nothing to do with it. Ahem was in awe seeing how Gopi handled the situation yet again. It was like "his girl has an answer to everything."
As Ahem retired into the room, the final place where he relaxed after having a hectic schedule during the day, he saw her taking off her jewelry and breathed her presence in him for few moments. He closed the door as if to keep her only for him. She had done her role of a daughter in law and the duties and responsibilities associated with it for the day, but now he wanted her to be his wife and be with him.
He stood motionless observing her and she recognized his presence too and stood up. He put a hand on her shoulder to stop her much acquainted response of taking the pallu. He wasn't bothered about what she was thinking but just looked into her eyes and was lost in her. He held both her hands in his and seated himself on the dresser stool. By now she was quite comfortable too and was giving him alluring smiles. He was about to kiss her when she ran away teasing him.
"Gopi!!!!!!!!!" he woke up with a start! Alas! It was just a dream...she had many of them with him in the focus always, but this was his first.
An expression of want, of realization that it wasn't real hit upon him and he looked disappointed. He saw her far away from him on the bed, and the distance seemed to be too long to him today.
Unable to fulfil his building passion of being with her as much as he wants, he could not help but dream of her. She is withdrawn and aloof from him these days, so did he dream the same? He wants her very badly, but she is running away all the time, did it push him to dream of her? We dream of things which are hard to come by, so does she mean priceless and hard to get to him too?
He started from where he had stopped on Holi. Only difference if this dream was his imagination, that day of Holi was too done under bhang effect and was kind of surreal. If he was a little hesitant on the start of Holi, quite comfortable as the day of Holi progressed, he was unstoppable today in his dream. And it is true that his passion for her are going stronger day by day, moment by moment. How and when he expresses his feelings to her and what would be the outcome of his dream, we have to see. For he would definitely ponder over it as he is a man who doesn't thrive on dreams, but has ended up doing the same.
