sorry for this unnecessarily long post and for sounding uber fan-girly but I had to get it out of my system and if you read the whole thing then God Bless you😆 for putting up with my incoherent rambling. This may come off as drama queen ish (not surprising, my brother calls me the biggest drama queen he knows😆) but just had to put this out there in hopes that this cast knows how amazing each and everyone is.
I've been watching Indian serials ever since I could remember. I have watched everything from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi to Tere Liye to Kusum to Bade Acche Laggte Hai to Bhaskar Bharti to Dil Mil Gaye to Miley Jab Hum Tum to...(well you get the idea) however no show has ever touched me like Sasural Genda Phool(yes not even Tere Liye😛). Yes the story-lines are a major part but what made me stick with this show, despite its flaws and loopholes and character assassination, is this wonderful cast👏👏👏 I think I would have given up long time on SGP if it wasn't for the cast. The perfect blend of talent and respect, the chemistry and the love they have for each other is simply great to see when in these times ego clashes and tantrums happen front right left and center🤢.
SP and I have a hatred ka rishta from the beginning😡 (don't need to repeat myself and TL woes here) but I literally HATE this channel with all of my might and gut and everything for the partiality and disgusting antics it pulls (and this is not just about SGP-TL, this is about every other show as well that I have loved on the channel like BBAB, KSBKBT etc).
First and foremost thank you to the SGP cast for sticking with the show despite the CVs butchering it👏. Thank you to the SGP cast for giving us some memorable, beautiful and heartfelt moments. Thank you SGP cast for showing us that simplicity too can rule the crap hole that is Indian TV🤢. Thank you SGP cast for showing us some wonderful situations which we deal with in real life while showing some comic side effects. Thank you SGP cast for staying like a family off and on screen, the chemistry that this entire cast shares is amazing beyond words. Thank you SGP cast for daring to be different in a time where caricatures rule TV. Thank you SGP cast for showing us some unconventional characters being popular in prime-time despite your competition showing some OTT and ridiculous characters.
Anitaji, Sudhirji, Shruti, Sooraj, Supriya, Mahesh, Sulbaji and Sadiya- thank you so much for giving us some loveable elders of the Kashyap/Bajpayee family which entertained us with wit, comedy but also giving us some amazing and memorable performances within the show. Some of my favorite scenes of the show are by the elders of the family👏 I dont even want to say best of luck because I know all of you will be back to rock our screens once again😳
Jiten, Bhairavi, Sham, Pooja, Akshay, Tapeshwari, Moon, Shailesh and Riddheema- thank you for some memorable characters and some of the best comic dialogues from this generation of the Kashyap family. Thank you for showing us that despite the happiness, life cannot always be fun and games and there is still sadness hidden beneath smiling faces. Thank you once again and wishing you all, all the luck for future projects😳
Neha, Muskan & Beena- even though you three were not shown as much, none the less still created an impact, they say big things comes in small packages😛, thank you for giving us Meena, Meethi and Ishika😳.
Indraneel, Hunar, Kanika, Amit, Mohit & Shruti Bapna- we loved to hate you whenever you came on screen😆 and that only goes to show how much impact your performances had. Best of luck to your future roles.
special shoutout to Jayati and Vaishnavi for giving us the bootiful Bubbly ki bootiful Manju aunty🤣 and the gorgeous, sweet, loveable Vidheesha Bajpayee😳
Jay- I've been a fan of his since Ba Bahu Aur Baby(ironically this is the production house replacing SGP) at a young age his character Jigar, in there was not a major plot twist or anything but he played the loveable son. When I first saw him in promos of SGP I was apprehensive of how he would be as a male lead since he played a side character in BBAB. I am tremendously happy to say that he proved me wrong. Ishan is one character that suffered many ups and downs but despite it all, thank you Jay for giving us Ishan🤗, for showing us that looks are not everything, for showing us a beautiful relationship between Ishan and Suhana for being that ideal husband and for handling a phataka like Suhana😆.
last but not least my Ragi pie, Ragini- what to say about this girl that hasn't already been said before, I have not seen her or met her in real life nor have I ever interacted with her in any form (well I tweeted her a few times and chatted with her during JDJ but that was with a gazzillion people so that doesn't count😛) yet I feel this respect and admiration for her😳 I don't joke when I say she is my girl crush numero uno😳. She is only an actress and like always actresses fade and new ones come and old ones go but with her I am completely different, even when she is 40 something, I would still go gaga for her just as I do today😆. I saw Ragini in RKBKKD and I liked her but didnt continue with the show(God knows why😕). When Bhaskar Bharti started I just did not pay attention to Sony at all so SGP was the show that introduced me to Ragini Khanna the actress...I won't put her on channe ka jhaad😉😆 but she is seriously one of the best actresses (in any entertainment medium) We have commented on how differently she has changed since the beginning of SGP but despite that she has still given me Suhana. I know most people here are anti-Suhana these days, but for me this show is literally Suhana and Shailja, if these two were played by someone else I would never have enjoyed the show as much. Ragini you are a tremendous actress, you have an amazing personality and you are always sweet and humble and down to earth so please dont ever change for anyone and don't be dishearted by SGP loss, some very bright things are in your future😳. Thank you Ragini for giving me Suhana🤗 for giving me a character I personally can relate to so much(yes I too have many chemical lochas just like my Suhana😆), Suhana Bajpayee Kashyap for me is one of Indian TV's best characters despite her chemical lochas and lack of brains😆 her innocence, her charm, her adorable nature is something that I find very endearing and compared to what I am used to watching on other shows. Suhana was is and always will be the most hatke lead in an Indian serials, there can never be another Suhana Bajpayee Kashyap😳.
