Hi Everyone! As we all know, at the moment, Navya is going down the drains & its injustice to the actors, the concept & everything in between! I am so pissed & I know a lot of you are with the current track. Its going to be, one year for the completion of our show & today I just wanted to rant & maybe rave here & there cause I really feel like it & considering our forum is so inactive & depressing lately, I was hoping this post could get everyone pumped up again. Basically its just a random review over the show more so I am focusing on Anant & Navyas journey. Its totally disorganized & im just spitting out whatever comes to my mind & will probably miss a lot of things so bear with me please.
Navya started off as a youth show, back in April last year. Things that attracted me to this show were the Bekaboo promo mainly which of course had the amazing song & the chemistry between Anant & Navya! I knew instantly I was going to love this show from what it had been promising me. Navya was supposed to be a love story about the dilemma & questions Anant & Navya, much like the youth of India have & how they try to move forward yet stick to their traditions. I really loved this concept, cause it was so hatke, moving away from the saas bahu sagas with the evil vamps. It looked like a show where it was relateable & preached while entertained.
Ill start of with the first few episodes which I absolutely loved! Anants family were a bit unrealistic, & you know what, they may exsist somewhere in this world, but looking at a show that is targeted at the youth in metro cities, it was one of the, or maybe the biggest setback of this show. While on the other side, I loved Navya's family! Meeta was very much like moms today! I remember the first scene we had where Navya was on facebook & Meeta totally comes & is staring at what she is doing, & asking questions about Ritz's pictures! I mean being an Indian girl by roots but not birth & living outside of India, even I could relate to that cause my mom does that a lot of times too! That's just one example but even her friendship with Ritz & Appy was totally awesome & realistic. Only thing was, Navya wearing suits was a bit of a drawback coming to be able to relate to Navya. I know a lot of girls wear suits but most people tend to wear normal jeans & shirts which I thought Navya would wear from the promos but that never happened either.
Now, I will come to the biggest USP of the show, the magical chemistry of Anant & Navya! Remember that entry shot & freaking hot Anant looked! Hayee I could go on forever about that but I wont cause then I cant stop myself LOL. So the scene was total filmy, how he saves Navya from the goondas & she is totally smitten by him at the first sight! I liked that, Anant wasn't like all latoo over her, but she had that first crush type of feeling. That was nice. Now I wont talk about every single scene cause that would take forever but I loved the progression of their friendship. Anant just kept on being himself while I found Navya a bit too shy but they slowly got closer & closer.Wanting to spend time with each other, talk to each other ect.. they were starting to like each other. I could say Navya in a way knew that she was totally gaga over Anant, She knew she had a thing for him because Navya was the girl who in a way was more modern & knew that you can fall in love. But Anant here was totally oblivious to the fact that it could happen to him. My only complain in this phase of the story, till the picnic was that it was way to fast & random. Anant was shown to be attracted to Navya & like her but before the picnic, we never saw him thinking about it much. So their little confession was just too fast & weird. I would have liked it if Anants POV of accepting that a thing like love or attraction can happen to him would have been better IMO but the rest was amazing. The chemistry was just magical & made you fall in love with Anant & Navya from day one. Not a lot of touchy touchy, but just the way they were, it was so attractive & beautiful. I was hopelessly hooked to the show now & there was no looking back.
Coming to the picnic & ApShagun track, I loved it in some ways & hated it too! So obviously, chemistry was burning during the picnic track. The hug was awkward,all but that is saab maaf. Then we saw the kissing bit which I again thought was very cute, but very random. All of a sudden we saw Anants hormones activating when the guy hardly acknowledged or thought about this attraction to Navya. Ek din mein suddenly. It was too weird. I liked how Navya was hesitant about all of this cause just a day ago, these two were just good friends & bam for a girl like Navya, a guy like Anant is kissing her. Errm bit weird eh. But I guess the chemistry made up for it. I guess after, Navya was like screw it & acknowledged the fact that she & Anant had a thing going on & wasn't going to be a kabab mein haddi in her own potential relationship. We got to see a sneaky Navya going to kiss Anant at the boys room at the picnic which I liked moving forward from what was happening! Navya was open & knew everything that was happening at that night accepted the fact. Then we got the legendary picnic scene which is one of the best scenes. I thought Anant was pretty intimate all of a sudden but Navya was reciprocating back about it & the two little love birds had totally let their feelings & hormones take over them LOL. Then we got that little phone call from Baba & I loved the contrast between how Anant whom like I said was oblivious had now realized what he was doing but Navya here was in lala land & thought her life was now a fairytale where Anant is the prince charming.
The denial & ignoring Navya phase was so bitchy but realistic at the same time. A boy, who had been under a blindfold for 19 years in a sadistic house was now falling in love & almost kissed her! This is where we were getting to the nayi soch part. He was in a dilemma. He couldn't stay away from Navya yet he couldn't be with her without having that guilt feeling. Now, coming to the Shagun part, I felt it was a good little bang to the storyline. Now Anant really was in a dilemma & gave a reason for him to be forced to act fast. At this point, I loved the conversations he had with Navya. He had asked her what he should do, & obviously a girl like Navya told him to chose his family. I know I would never ask someone to chose their family for me cause I would have that guilt to live with & never be able to enjoy that relationship properly. Now the drawback of this was Rama turning to a vamp. IMO this was totally unnessecary. Overall, Anant was frustrated & couldn't accept Navya's words so he broke down & just let himself out. Now I loved when Anant was sick, Navya could not stop herself & that was pure love & the power of love. The I love you from his side was just classy. It was pure, sweet straight out from the heart. I think that I love you gave Anant more power here to break this engagement while Navya had lost all hope. But the conclusion of the track was happy albeit, stupid. Shagun & prank was just terrible! I mean, this show was all to preach! What are the chances that anyone in Anant & Navyas case will get a stupid fianc. A more logical aspect would have been Anant talking to Baba saying that he is not ready for marriage & doesn't think Shagun is a right girl. The problem solving aspect of the show has always been weak & stupid.
After almost 2 months of rona dhona, we saw happy times but like it has always been, these happy times were again short lived! Anant had totally transformed into a majnoo even though having no experience! I liked how AnYa were totally adorable & acted like a couple, although they were very pavitra all of a sudden. I mean what happened to all the picnic hormones? Where had they gone.? Anyways, the cutesy moments were too cute with Navya's birthday & her confession! Chemistry was ah-mazaing. Now, I wanted to touch base with Renuka's involvement with AnYa. Renu had always been the mature & strict Di & she was pretty harsh on Anant at first but with his speech, he won her heart too so I liked how Renuka found out about AnYa but was a bit disappointed with her later on which ill talk about later. Then we came to Meeta Ma finding out about AnYa & after that, it was satyanaaash to the show. The CVS could have made this so much better & realistic. Navya, hardly attempted to talk to Meeta about this. Meetas ghussa was justified but Navya did not seem to take enough effort questioning how much importance was hers & Anants relationship to her. Same with Renuka! She knew Anant was a good guy, yet there was absolutely no support to Navya from her too! Then Meeta decided to send Navya to Kanpur & this my friends was the sinking point of our wonderful show. The whole thing, the bichadna, confrontation of AnYa & just everything was so terrible! How the families fought & erkh I just HATED it! It was torture & unrealistic! Couldn't we have seen something more realistic where Anant & Navya talked to Meeta or Navya & Renuka & convinced her that Anant was truly a good guy & their intentions were good. Total nonsense is the apt description for the track.
Soon, we saw AnYa going back to college & Anant proposing to Navya! I liked this because Anant knew that second that once shaadi ki baat nikli, everyone would have a different outlook on their relationship. See, the thing is Anant has always taken the upper hand in bring the nayi soch while Navya was always the silent SP devi. I loved the Mishras take on AnYas relationship! Deepu is the best papa & totally trusted Navya & went to talk to the B's but sadly was rejected and walked away. This was a nice realistic view that a Papa will do anything for his daughters happiness & you just have to trust her. Then after all the rona dhona, finally B's were accepted & AnYa were getting engaged! Then we got utter crap again, with the roka track & postponing the shaadi mini track. With the postponing shaadi track, I liked the intention but again the plans were so unrealistic! It wasn't something someone would do in real life! Just talking it out & solving it in a more mature way would have been so much better.
After the torture, haha guess what, we were in for more torture called the Office Track. Now a track that could have been beautifully portrayed was total crap. Misunderstanding had seem to become AnYa's bestfriend. The CVS had totally butchered Anant, the supporting, loving boyfriend into an idiotic bewda! It was ridiculous! Instead of show MU's with Amar sir all the time, couldn't have we seen positivity that Navya is going out to do something meaningful for her dad & the outcomes are positive.Infact the office track glamorized how bad it is for a woman to work as it puts her relationship at stake. What was the whole meaning of these MU's? It was just completely sad. Amar was such an awesome boss & I would have loved to see how Anant supports her all the way through & she becomes successful at her work place but no we saw a pointless track & don't even get me started on the office party. Even after all of that huggy buggy & everything, we got a misunderstanding cause Anant didn't think Navya loved him enough! Why was their love shown to be so weak. It was the worst torture we had gone through in the history of ghatiya tracks in Navya.Instead of nayi soch, it was total puraani soch! I was almost done with this show at the point. The chemistry was sulking, the story was crap & the characters were getting butchred. It couldn't have been worse.
After all that crap was sorted, AnYa were getting married, yaaay, but no, this is Navya we are talking about where happiness doesn't seem to exist. We had the stupid & unneeded guddu track. Why does this show always need problems. Why couldn't we have had a tension free wedding! Navya had almost morphed into an unrealistic irritating saas bahu show! But it wasn't too dragged I guess & the wedding sequence was beautiful! The chemistry of Anant & Navya was coming back & I loved the whole rituals & all! I loved how Anant had really begun to mature at this point & take things a bit seriously! He promised Navya he would always be at her side & this was the Anant all of us wanted back after the idiotic track! He was the best pati ever!
Sadly, the show had almost ubuptly ended but thanks to #savenavya which everyone worked hard for even though this show had given us such tough times but we did it & then the writers were back with a bang.
Like I have said atleast 100 times, the intention of Anant & Navya was always good but the problem solving factor was so weak in the story line! It didn't make sense for a show that preached about nayi soch & relatbility! The whole plan to reunite the B's & the M's was just really stupid IMO & the natak was weird but I loved the consequences of it which was the ghar chodna track.
During ghar chodna, the writers were back with a bang ever since the hideous Kanpur track! We were getting way more AnYa moments & everything was just awesome! I loved how Anant stood up for Navya & couldn't take the illtreatment of his wife for one more second in that house. That junoon & jazba of standing up on your own feet was a great thing to put out there because there are so many boys who are dependant on their families, but you need to stand up on your own in life which is what I loved. Anant, someone who had been living in all the comforts as a small child, finally realized what life is like for people who have to start on their own! I loved loved loved this aspect & now every single rupee had a much bigger value! Anant & Navya were both learning to be happy with what they have, & they truly were cause all they needed was each other to be the happiest. Romance was back full on & it was better than ever. After the over done forehead kisses & hugs, we finally saw some passion & it was full on amazing! I liked how they had fights to here & there which is so realistic.
But now like always, sadly, we had the loonies becoming evil. We always knew they were orthodox but why evil! We didn't need anymore vamps in the show! Even Sugandha joined them & I know nobody can stand them. This is one of the biggest setbacks of the show! The characters were butchered again & Navya had officially turned into a saas bahu saga. Again, why does Navya never tell Anant anything. I mean I have lost count at the number of times he tells Navya that not to hide anything from him but no our devi is just stupid. Its time for this stupid accident track now & its so un nessecary. I would rather see AnYa painting the house for a week then watching this crap. Its become a Navya vs Loonies game now & I cant take it anymore. Its an utter saas bahu saga & after todays emotional atyachaar from CSB & him & Suggandha & BD just being plain evil. Its stupid. I don't even know why I am watching the show. I guess only for Shaheer & Somya & because they are such sweethearts. Its just nonsense & nayi soch doesn't fit into the show anywhere. I am just so upset.
My whole point of the post was, kahnan se kahan did we come. All I wanted was an acchi khaasi love story about Anant & Navya who are torn between the nayi soch & traditions & how the balance that but now we are just seeing a sacrificing Navya who has to be tortured by her in-laws while her husband in oblivious. Thank you CVS for totally destroying our show & its sad that one year after, we have to see such crap. I didn't mean to offend anyone, its just my opinion & I would love to have everyones takes on the overview of the show. I mainly focoused on AnYa's journey with my post, ignoring the sub tracks & just randomly spat out what came to my mind.
