why is vandu acting dumb

in this weeks episodes they show how archana gets to see the photos of her daughter s and it is given to her by vandu.. vandu knows how teju and ovi looks theh n how come when she met teju it did not register with her that teju is manavs daughter. she has met teju on so many occasions.. CVs are forgetting all this...
