If this happens then this will be the most idiotic thing ever!!!!!
I mean someone's name is one's identity!!!!How can that be changed??
And that too to someone whose shoes she is stepping into!!!!!
You know in Jhansi ki Rani, she had her name changed from Manikarnika to Laxmibai but definately it wasn't after her husband's first wife!!!!!
As it is people are constantly comparing her to Arpita!!!!!😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡

its pretty weird, they dont do that normally and in some religions they change name of the gal before wedding just to suit the guys name and for a happy marriage , else they get the gal married of to some tree and all for doshas , but never seen or heard first wife name given to second one , thats awkward for every one

Seriously, these segments are really butchered because of the editing, so I really hope it's just some sort of misconception on our part. But not to rain on my own parade, I just realized that in that Tellychakkar article that broke the news about the entrance of Arpita's mom, it said that there will be some major kanyadaan drama. Before this we were all wondering what kind of drama a kanyadaan can bring, because Shobha and Mr. Dubey are the only ones who should be doing it, but what if, and I really hope I am wrong here, but what if Gayatri comes up with some ritual that says that Arpita's parents will have to do Aarti's kanyadaan. I am sure no matter how nice the parents are, I don't think Aarti will agree to this at all, and neither do I think will Yash, so this might cause some friction between the two families. But my question is, is there really such importance giving to the widower's dead wife's parents in the Hindu culture in the even of his second marriage? Because rationally, this makes absolutely no sense. Yes, their daughter passed away but that doesn't mean that they have the right to claim the other girl entering in Yash's life as their own, I have never heard of anything like that!

On a lighter note, I totally agree about Gurmeet's masti in the off screen interviews! Seriously he seemed to be having the best time messing around, and going completely bipolar with his character! I kinda wish him and Kratika were giving the interview together, her expressions would be worth watching as Yash goes on and on about how excited and lucky he is that eik hi janam mein do do shaadiyan 🤣 And I just saw the IF video on the haldi and he is totally trolling all these segments, first messing up Aarti and Arpita's names and then going on about how he doesn't want Aarti to be far away from him and all that, Gurmeet has really become comfortable in giving interviews and not just that but actually being funny in them, he kept cracking up every 2 seconds on his comments! Man it was fun watching them, and I really, really hope that at a certain point we get to see this side of him on screen, maybe next holi under the effect of bhaang 😆

@Bold, nope there is NONE. since not all in laws would be cooperative and most of them blame the guy for gals accidental death 😕 and some of them dont attend and the ones who do , do it for formality , this would be very wrong with aartis in laws or may be with her parents had they been alive

I have a sindhi friend and her both SILs name was changed after marriage, hers didn't as her inlaws don't follow plus changing on passport is daunting task so maybe thats why, But I have another sindhi firend who don't follow such tradition. So I don't think its regional, its more family and obviously girl and her parent agree upfront.
