While golfing, Malvika Talwar meets with handsome, U.S.-returned Avinash, both fall in love with each other, and shortly thereafter get married. The following year, Malvika gives birth to a boy, and they decide to name him Ansh. Then chaos and devastation enters Malvika's life when Avinash gets killed in an automobile accident. Malvika resigns herself to a life of a widow, her sole motive for living appears to be to look after Ansh. She is shocked when her in-laws, Balraj, and Shobhana, ask her to re-marry. Will Malvika be able to remove Avinash from her heart and mind and marry someone else?

First time i watched it: Cried.
Second time i watched it: W*F is this.

Rani looked really pretty in the movie though(:

omg i remember going to watch this with my whole family including cousins visiting from out of town and it was a hrorible choice. we were all so depressed after this

I remember thinking this film was gonna be so epic and awesome..and it SUCKED! 😆 The essential story did have some potential and a good starcast..all ruined by some horrible writing and bad acting on some part.

bringing john abraham with long locks could be the worst nightmare for this movie...it was made hurriedly to repeat the success of BAGHBAN, and now as you can see the director is doing nothing these days. Baabul didn't touch my heart at all...it was a saas bahu serial went horribly wrong on the big screen...baghban was a much better movie.

interesting... i liked this movie. yes, it was a bit on the depressive side, but things like this happen and I think it got the point across about widows in India. I think the chemistry between Salman and Rani was good. Rani was amazing in those scenes where she was mourning her husband's death. The dancing in the rain with his sweater and all. It's def not on my list of horrible Hindi films.
